HOMILÍA
Hemos escuchado la Palabra de Dios en este domingo veintisiete del tiempo ordinario. Pronto va a comenzar la catequesis de los niños y de los jóvenes, la que hace referencia a la primera comunión y a la confirmación. Bueno es que hoy, todos, nos concienciemos de lo importante que es que, en todas las parroquias, haya catequistas preparados para transmitir la fe y niños y jóvenes que se inscriban. En esta tarea estamos embarcados los sacerdotes, los catequistas, los padres y las familias. Hagamos cuanto esté en nuestras manos para que los más pequeños de nuestra comunidad estén inmersos en este proceso y recemos por los catequistas que asumen la gran responsabilidad de anunciar a Jesucristo.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Habacuc. Es un hombre que sufre al ver cómo están las cosas: desgracias, trabajos, violencias, catástrofes y luchas de todas clases. Y su corazón se eleva hacia Dios pidiendo ayuda. De Él vendrá, pero el profeta ha de poner en marcha su fe, su confianza, su esperanza, su paciencia. También ante nuestros ojos puede haber un panorama semejante y la desesperanza, el desencanto, la desilusión pueden apoderarse de todas las fibras de nuestro ser. Pidamos al Señor la fe que nos falta, la esperanza que necesitamos, la paciencia que nos dará paz y la confianza sin la que no es posible encarar el futuro.
La segunda lectura, de san Pablo a su amigo y discípulo Timoteo, habla, precisamente, de mantener el ánimo, de plantar fuerte como decimos en nuestra tierra, de no venirnos abajo aunque las circunstancias sean difíciles y complicadas. Estamos llamados a dar testimonio de Jesús con valentía, con nuestra palabra y con nuestra vida. “Toma parte en los duros trabajos del evangelio” le dice. También el apóstol nos dice a cada uno de nosotros que tomemos parte en los duros trabajos del evangelio, que hagamos todo lo posible para que Jesús sea más conocido y amado.
El relato del evangelio de Lucas nos ha hablado de las dificultades que tenían los oyentes de Jesús a la hora de creer y cómo, en ocasiones, le piden a Jesús que les aumente la fe. Hagamos nosotros lo mismo. Con humildad, con sencillez, conscientes de nuestra fragilidad y de nuestra limitación, pidamos al Señor que el don de la fe, recibido en el bautismo, siga creciendo y robusteciéndose y que, por nuestra parte, pongamos todo lo necesario para ello. Dediquemos tiempo a la oración, a estar con Jesús, a exponerle problemas y necesidades y a escuchar lo que Él nos quiera hacer llegar. Nuestra fe crecerá.
