HOMILÍA
En vísperas de la fiesta de Nuestra Señora del Pilar, el Señor nos invita a reflexionar sobre el contenido de las lecturas de este domingo, veintiocho del tiempo ordinario. Un domingo que nos impulsa a profundizar en el seguimiento de Jesús. Y esto, porque es fácil contentarnos con un ir tirando, con cumplir lo mínimo exigible, sin comprometernos demasiado. Preguntémonos qué es lo que el Señor nos puede estar pidiendo, a cada uno de nosotros, de acuerdo con las fuerzas que él mismo nos ha dado y con nuestra disponibilidad.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado la hemos tomado del libro de la Sabiduría. La sabiduría no es el cúmulo de conocimientos que podemos adquirir gracias al estudio, sino el haber llegado a comprender qué es lo que nos puede hacer realmente felices. ¿Lo seremos si conseguimos riquezas y honores o si hacemos de nuestra vida una ofrenda de amor? ¿Seremos felices si conseguimos el poder y el dominio sobre otras personas o si sabemos ponernos al servicio de los demás?
La segunda lectura, de la Carta a los Hebreos, nos ha hablado del poder de esa Palabra de Dios que penetra hasta lo más íntimo de nuestro ser y nos hace confrontar nuestra vida actual con lo que el Señor espera de nosotros. Un día rendiremos cuentas a los ojos de aquel que nos hace ver nuestra realidad y nos impulsa a cambiar, a ser mejores, a ir más allá de lo mínimo imprescindible.
El relato del evangelio de Marcos nos ha presentado el relato del joven rico. Es bueno, cumple lo mandamientos, reza, hace el bien a sus semejantes y le pide a Jesús que le deje seguirle. ¿Qué más se podía pedir? Y Jesús valora lo que aquel joven le ofrece pero le pide algo más. Antes de aceptarle en su seguimiento, le exige que lo deje todo. Algo a lo que este joven no estaba dispuesto. ¿Qué haríamos o haremos nosotros?
