HOMILÍA
El pasado martes, día 12, tuvimos la oportunidad de celebrar la fiesta de Nuestra Señora del Pilar cuyo eco todavía perdura en nuestros corazones. El próximo domingo será el día del Domund, el domingo de las misiones, en el que seremos llamados a rezar por esa labor que realizan, en tierras lejanas, misioneros y misioneras: sacerdotes, religiosos y religiosas y laicos comprometidos con la causa del evangelio. Sera un día también para ayudar con nuestra aportación económica para que pueda llevarse a cabo esa doble tarea de anunciar el evangelio y de colaborar en el progreso de esos pueblos.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Isaías. Nos ha hablado de un misterioso personaje al que se le conoce como “Siervo de Yavé” y que parece un retrato de Jesús. Tanto uno como otro serán probados por el dolor y por el sufrimiento, justificaran a muchos, cargaran con sus crímenes, con sus pecados. El Jesús que sufre Pasión y muere en la Cruz, por amor a los hombres, será un punto de referencia para todos nosotros. Cuando seamos visitados por el dolor y por el sufrimiento, miremos al Cristo clavado en la Cruz. Él nos dará su fuerza.
La segunda lectura, de la carta a los Hebreos, también nos ha hablado de Jesús como el sumo sacerdote que fue probado en todo como nosotros y que es capaz de compadecerse de nuestras debilidades. Elevemos hacia él nuestra plegaria, confiados y seguros de ser acogidos con sus brazos, con su ternura, con su amor más allá de toda medida.
El relato del Evangelio de Marcos nos ha contado la escena en el que los apóstoles Santiago y Juan le piden a Jesús ocupar los primeros puestos, uno a la derecha y otro a la izquierda, en ese Reino que va a fundar. Esa petición le da ocasión a Jesús de recordarles que el servicio a todos es lo que nos hace grandes e importantes a los ojos de Dios.
