HOMILÍA
A medio camino entre la celebración de la Solemnidad de Nuestra Señora del Pilar y la del próximo domingo, en el que viviremos la fiesta misionera del Domund, hoy hemos escuchado las lecturas propias del domingo veintinueve del tempo ordinario. Un domingo en el que la Palabra de Dios nos ha insistido en el tema de la oración, de la plegaria, que estamos llamados a elevar hacia el Padre Dios, hacia Santa María, nuestra Madre, y hacia a aquellos santos a quienes veneramos.
La primera lectura, del libro del Éxodo, nos ha contado como la oración perseverante de Moisés, elevando hacia el Señor sus brazos y su corazón, hizo posible la victoria de su pueblo en la batalla que se estaba librando. También nosotros debemos elevar hacia el cielo nuestra mente, nuestros pensamientos; en definitiva, esa plegaria nuestra hecha de amor, de confianza, de seguridad de que estamos siendo escuchados. No dejemos de rezar cada día. El Señor sale a nuestro encuentro y, como buen Padre, quiere hablar con nosotros que somos sus hijos.
La segunda lectura, de san Pablo a Timoteo, nos ha hablado del amor que debemos manifestar hacia la Sagrada Escritura, es decir, hacia esa palabra de Dios que escuchamos en cada celebración eucarística o que podemos leer en nuestras casas. Bueno es que tratemos de conocerla bien, de estudiarla, de comprenderla. En las Clases de Teología, que se imparten los martes, siempre hay una materia dedicada a conocer mejor la Sagrada Escritura, la Biblia. Apuntémonos, si podemos, a esa clase.
En el Evangelio de Lucas se nos ha enseñado que la plegaria debe ser como el aire que respiramos, que debemos orar sin desfallecer. Que nada que salga de nuestro corazón hacia Dios se pierde en el vacío y en la nada. El Señor siempre escucha nuestra plegaria aunque, a veces, nos dé la impresión de que no hay nadie al otro lado. Al otro lado, está Jesús.
