HOMILÍA
En vísperas de la celebración de la fiesta de la Inmaculada, en la que nos apoyamos para vivir con intensidad este tiempo del Adviento, hemos escuchado las lecturas de su segundo domingo. Profetas como Baruc, apóstoles de los gentiles como Pablo y las palabras solemnes del evangelista San Lucas, nos invitan a la reflexión y a poner en práctica todo aquello que nos enseñan.
La primera lectura, de este profeta Baruc, ha puesto ante nuestros ojos un futuro prometedor, gozoso, en el que la ciudad de Jerusalén verá regresar a sus hijos que fueron llevados a un destierro lleno de penalidades, de sufrimientos, de amarguras. El mismo Dios “guiará a Israel con alegría, a la luz de su gloria, con su justicia y su misericordia”. También a nosotros nos toca, en ocasiones, vivir desterrados de todo aquello que implique paz, amor, felicidad. Pero el Señor va sembrando en nuestros corazones la esperanza en la persona de un Jesús Niño.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los cristianos de Filipos, nos ha contado hasta qué punto llegó el amor que le unió al apóstol con aquella comunidad. Una comunidad que se sintió feliz de escuchar a Pablo, de atenderle y de cuidarle. ¡Qué hermoso es que el Pastor y la comunidad se sientan felices al encontrarse, al convivir juntos! El deseo del apóstol fue siempre, tal y como hemos escuchado “que vuestro amor siga creciendo más y más”. Ojalá también que todas las comunidades cristianas del mundo se marquen esto como objetivo fundamental “que el amor siga creciendo cada vez más entre sus miembros y con sus pastores”.
El relato del evangelio de Lucas, tras una introducción solemne, nos ha recordado las palabras de un Juan el Bautista que invita a todo el que quiera escucharle a que “prepare los caminos del Señor”. ¡Ojala que, en este tiempo de Adviento, sepamos preparar la venida de Jesús!
