HOMILÍA
Los días de la Cuaresma van pasando poco a poco y, cada uno de nosotros, trata de ponerse a la escucha de esa Palabra de Dios que nos indica el camino por el que estamos llamados a transitar. Vivamos con intensidad este tiempo de gracia que el Señor nos ofrece. Dediquemos tiempo a la oración, corrijamos comportamientos. Y pensemos que no lo estamos haciendo en solitario, que es toda la Iglesia, todos y cada uno de los cristianos, los que hemos sido llamados a renovar nuestras vidas. Siendo conscientes de esto, nuestro corazón se animará. Hay muchos que, en este tiempo cuaresmal, se han tomado muy en serio este proceso que nos llevará a celebrar con gozo la fiesta de la Pascua.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro del Génesis. Abrahán siente en su interior un deseo de salir de su tierra con su familia, emprender un camino desconocido para llegar a una tierra nueva. Cada uno de nosotros ha podido sentir también el deseo de salir de una situación de pecado y del mal, emprender una ruta que le exigirá lucha y esfuerzo para llegar a una nueva realidad en la que, el amor a Dios y al prójimo, ocupen el primer lugar. La fiesta de la Pascua de Resurrección nos ha de encontrar plenamente renovados. Pidamos al Señor que nos ayude en el empeño.
La segunda lectura, de la carta de San Pablo a Timoteo, nos ha recordado que tenemos por delante una hermosa tarea: la de anunciar la Buena Noticia del Evangelio con nuestra palabra y con nuestra vida. Es una hermosa tarea, sí, pero también algo que nos exigirá esfuerzo y trabajo. El Señor nos ha convocado a ello. Proclamemos a todos que Jesús ha muerto y ha resucitado por nuestra salvación. Seamos misioneros entre nuestra propia gente. Construyamos juntos una comunidad fraterna.
El relato del evangelio de San Mateo nos ha traído a nuestra memoria y para nuestra reflexión el episodio de la transfiguración de Jesús que tuvo lugar en la cima del monte Tabor. Todo parece indicar que la Pasión y la Muerte del Maestro estaban ya muy cerca. Jesús debió pensar que, esos acontecimientos, podían hacer tambalear la confianza de los suyos en él y tuvo para con ellos un gesto: el de hacerles entrever un poco del misterio divino que se encerraba en su persona. Pidamos a Jesús que nos ofrezca, también a nosotros, un gesto que afiance nuestra fe cuando lleguen las horas duras y difíciles de nuestra pasión y muerte.
