HOMILÍA
Acabamos de escuchar las lecturas propias del tercer domingo del tiempo ordinario. Un domingo en el que seguimos elevando nuestra plegaria por la unidad de los cristianos, de las iglesias cristianas. Algo que debemos hacer no solo en esta semana, del 18 al 25 de enero, sino también a lo largo de todo el año. Recemos por esa unidad y vivámosla en nuestra vida de cada día con aquellos que, creyendo como nosotros en el mismo Jesús, forman parte de confesiones cristianas distintas a la nuestra. Que el afecto y el amor nos unan a pesar de las diferencias.
Es este también un domingo que se comienza a conocer ya como “El Domingo de la Palabra de Dios.” El Papa Francisco lo instituyó en su día para que no olvidemos la importancia que esa Palabra de Dios tiene para nuestra vida de cristianos. Escuchémosla en la misa dominical, leámosla en casa, estudiémosla. Utilicemos el libro “Evangelio 2021” que podemos adquirir en nuestras Parroquias y que contiene los textos bíblicos que, cada día, se proclaman en la misa.
Esa Palabra de Dios que hoy nos ha sido proclamada nos ha insistido en dos palabras, en dos actitudes: Por un lado en la llamada que Dios hace a algunos para que se conviertan en anunciadores de su mensaje de conversión. El profeta Jonás, en la primera lectura, lo hace en la ciudad de Nínive, actual Irak. Llamada y conversión son también dos palabras, dos actitudes que vemos en el evangelio. Jesús comienza su ministerio invitando a la conversión y llamando a los primeros apóstoles. Sin conversión no es posible aceptar y vivir la llamada que Dios nos hace. No es posible, tampoco, aceptar y vivir su palabra.
Pidamos al Señor la gracia de una profunda y sincera conversión que nos haga sentir hijos suyos y hermanos de todos aquellos que caminan a nuestro lado. Así nos lo recordará el tiempo de la Cuaresma.
