HOMILÍA
Todos los domingos, los cristianos, nos preguntamos qué es lo que el Padre Dios nos quiere decir a través de su palabra escrita. Para ello, nada mejor que guardarla en nuestro corazón y rumiarla a lo largo del día o de la semana. La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Jeremías. A él le tocó vivir en una etapa difícil y complicada para su pueblo, llena de luchas, de guerras, de conciudadanos que van al destierro. Como buen profeta, es un hombre de esperanza. Cree en el Dios misericordioso que se compadece de su pueblo y hace posible el regreso de los desterrados. Sus palabras, como hemos visto, describen el gozo y la alegría de quienes han dejado atrás las lágrimas, el dolor y el sufrimiento y tocan ya un futuro mejor.
¡Cuántas veces nosotros podemos estar viviendo circunstancias difíciles en las que nos sentimos desterrados, lejos de Dios! ¡Cuántas veces la enfermedad, la muerte de un ser querido, los problemas a los que tenemos que hacer frente, nos pueden hacer sentir que la vida es muy dura, que no sabemos qué hacer ni cómo hacerlo! Para nosotros van dirigidas las palabras de gozo y de alegría que hemos escuchado en la primera lectura. Nunca estamos lejos de las manos de Dios. Él nos cuida y nos protege en todos los instantes de nuestra vida, también en los momentos de dolor y de sufrimiento. Él llenará nuestro corazón de un gozo y de una alegría más allá de toda medida. Él será un padre bueno para cada uno de nosotros.
La segunda lectura la hemos tomado, como estas semanas pasadas de la Carta a los Hebreos. Una carta que presenta a Jesús como un Sumo Sacerdote de una Alianza nueva. Y nos habla de los sacerdotes que ofrecen sacrificios y oraciones, que saben compadecerse de los que sufren y de los que se equivocan, porque ellos mismos están envueltos en debilidades. Hace unos años celebramos un llamado "Año Sacerdotal" en el que la Iglesia nos invitó a rezar por los sacerdotes. Hagámoslo también ahora. Recemos por los sacerdotes de nuestra diócesis de Jaca. Recemos por todos. Encomendémosles a aquel que un día les llamó.
El relato del evangelio ha traído a nuestra memoria uno de esos momentos que tanto se repitieron por los caminos y los pueblos de Palestina. Un necesitado, un ciego, oye el paso apresurado de Jesús cerca de él y no quiere perder lo que puede ser su única oportunidad. Y grita y grita sin importarle las voces de quienes quieren que se calle. Pero él sabe que “ahora o nunca” y logra captar la atención de Jesús y, más importante todavía, volver a ver. Nosotros somos ese ciego y, como él, estamos llamados a gritarle a Jesús nuestra necesidad.
