HOMILÍA
Hace pocos días los cristianos celebramos la Solemnidad de Todos los Santos y la Conmemoración de los Fieles Difuntos. El próximo domingo seremos llamados a vivir el “Día de la Iglesia Diocesana.” Un día para tomar conciencia de nuestra pertenencia a una comunidad diocesana, en nuestro caso la de Jaca, y para colaborar económicamente, en su sostenimiento, con una colecta que haremos. Entre estos dos acontecimientos, hoy hemos escuchado las lecturas propias del domingo treinta y dos del tiempo ordinario. El Señor susurra su Palabra en nuestros oídos y en nuestro corazón. Hagamos memoria del mensaje que ha resonado en nuestra asamblea.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado de libro de la Sabiduría, un libro del antiguo testamento que quería inculcar en el creyente israelita el amor por la sabiduría del corazón. Una sabiduría que no tiene nada que ver con el cúmulo de conocimientos, sino con ese saber vivir para llegar a ser realmente felices. Es sabio el que escucha la voz de Dios, el que cumple su voluntad, el que ama a sus semejantes, el que hace el bien, el que perdona y olvida la ofensa recibida, el que sabe dar buenos consejos al que lo necesita. Es bueno que, en nuestra diaria oración, pidamos al Señor que nos conceda el don de la sabiduría.
La segunda lectura la hemos tomado de una carta que San Pablo escribió a la comunidad cristiana de Tesalónica. Es un texto muy conocido porque lo utilizamos muchas veces en las misas de los difuntos. Los cristianos de esta comunidad querían saber qué era lo que pasaba con aquellos de sus miembros que morían antes de la última venida de Jesús, que ellos creían ya muy cercana. Pablo, al contestarles, nos aclara también a nosotros la cuestión: “A los que han muerto en Jesús, Dios los llevará con Él”. La suerte de los difuntos nos habla de un Dios que nos espera al final del camino, con los brazos abiertos, para hacernos compartir su misma felicidad.
El relato del evangelio de San Mateo nos ha recordado la parábola, la historia de las llamadas “vírgenes prudentes” y “vírgenes necias”. Jesús recuerda una costumbre popular de las bodas de su tiempo: Las amigas de la novia esperaban a los nuevos esposos a la puerta de la casa donde, al atardecer, iba a tener lugar el banquete de bodas. La proximidad de la noche, hacia necesarias las lámparas encendidas. Todas debían tener el suficiente aceite para que la lámpara brillara cuando llegaran los esposos. Es decir, debían ser previsoras y estar preparadas, cualquiera que fuera la hora de esa llegada. Con esta parábola, Jesús nos quiso enseñar que también nosotros debemos ser previsores y estar preparados para que, cuando venga Él a buscarnos, es decir, cuando sea la hora de nuestra muerte, brille la luz de nuestra lámpara.
