HOMILÍA
Las lecturas de este domingo, treinta y tres del tiempo ordinario, nos han hablado del final del tiempo, del mundo, de la historia. Algo que, en principio, nos llena de temor; pero, el mensaje que nos quieren transmitir, es un mensaje de esperanza. Dios, que todo lo puede, es el Salvador, el que nos acompañará en los momentos malos, el que nos dará parte en su felicidad. Eso sí, los textos bíblicos nos dicen también que debemos estar siempre preparados, que debemos vivir con responsabilidad. Que, en el más aquí, preparamos nuestro destino en el más allá. Que si practicamos el bien, si ayudamos a los necesitados, si hacemos de nuestra vida una ofrenda de amor, no tenemos que tener ningún miedo. Así, pues… paz, serenidad, confianza.
Como ya hemos venido anunciando, en este domingo celebramos el llamado “Día de la Iglesia Diocesana”. Un día para tomar conciencia de nuestra pertenencia a una comunidad, a una parroquia, a una diócesis. No somos cristianos que vivan su fe en soledad. Somos una familia, la familia de los cristianos a la que entramos por el bautismo. Una familia que se reúne cada domingo para escuchar la Palabra de Dios y compartir el pan de la eucaristía. Una familia que se sabe presidida por Jesús hacia el que todos miramos.
Si somos una familia, nos tenemos que ayudar los unos a los otros. Y, la mejor forma de hacerlo, es rezando por aquellos a los que nos une la misma fe. Rezar por el otro es ya comenzar a quererle, es desearle lo mejor, es considerarlo un hermano, es ser consciente de que nos salvaremos en racimo y que nos importa y mucho la suerte de aquellos que caminan a nuestro lado.
En esta familia que formamos los cristianos, bueno es que nos preguntemos cuál es nuestro lugar, nuestra misión, la tarea que cada uno estamos llamados a desarrollar. Y esto porque en la Iglesia no sólo han de trabajar los ministros consagrados: obispos, sacerdotes, religiosos sino también todos los cristianos. ¡Cuántas cosas podemos hacer todos para que Jesús sea más conocido y amado! ¡Cuánto bien depende de todos y de cada uno de los que nos decimos cristianos!
Y, finalmente, esta familia cristiana necesita medios económicos para poder cumplir con su misión de anunciar el evangelio y de ayudar a todos los que lo necesiten. En este Día de la Iglesia Diocesana se nos pide que colaboremos con nuestra aportación personal. Que, desde nuestras posibilidades, contribuyamos a que nuestra Iglesia Diocesana sea una Iglesia viva, pujante, llena de vida. Una Iglesia acogedora, punto de referencia para los hombres de nuestro mundo. Una Iglesia sencilla, austera; que sabe, sin embargo, llegar allí donde hay una necesidad, una persona que necesita escuchar el mensaje del evangelio.
