HOMILÍA
Hemos escuchado las lecturas propias del domingo treinta y tres del tiempo ordinario. Un domingo que nos trae a la memoria las palabras del Papa Francisco que hacen referencia a la Jornada Mundial de los Pobres que hoy se celebra en todo el mundo. Esto es lo que nos decía: “Deseo que la Jornada Mundial de los Pobres, que llega a su quinta edición, arraigue cada vez más en nuestras Iglesias locales y se abra a un movimiento de evangelización que en primera instancia salga al encuentro de los pobres, allí donde estén. No podemos esperar a que llamen a nuestra puerta, es urgente que vayamos nosotros a encontrarlos en sus casas, en los hospitales y en las residencias asistenciales, en las calles y en los rincones oscuros donde a veces se esconden, en los centros de refugio y acogida... Es importante entender cómo se sienten, qué perciben y qué deseos tienen en el corazón…
A lo largo del año son muchas las ocasiones que se nos ofrecen para hacernos presentes en el mundo de los más necesitados: La Campaña contra el Hambre en el Mundo, el Domund, el trabajo de Cáritas, de Manos Unidas, los desastres naturales que se producen en distintas partes del planeta. Pero, no lo olvidemos, también muy cerca de nosotros, en nuestro pueblo y en nuestra zona, hay personas que lo tienen difícil para llegar a fin de mes. Esta Jornada Mundial de los Pobres quiere darnos un toque de atención y decirnos que no es suficiente con compartir nuestro dinero; que es también muy importante el darnos a nosotros mismos, el implicarnos personalmente en la solución, el considerar más importantes a las personas que a los bienes materiales.
¡Ojalá que al final de todo: de nuestra vida y del fin del mundo, podamos decir, con verdad, “hemos hecho todo lo que hemos podido por hacer un mundo más justo, más fraterno, más humano, más feliz!
