HOMILÍA
El tiempo de la Cuaresma va avanzando y la Palabra de Dios nos va marcando el camino. A nosotros nos toca escuchar, comprender y actuar tal y como hacían aquellos primeros cristianos que oían estos mismos textos cuando se preparaban para recibir el Bautismo en la solemne Vigilia Pascual. ¡Ojalá que, a lo largo de la semana, encontremos tiempo para volver sobre los textos que hoy nos ha sido proclamados, sobre todo sobre el relato del evangelio! Es bueno pararnos a pensar en lo que el Padre Dios nos está susurrando en nuestro corazón. Es bueno que todo eso lo convirtamos en oración.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro del Éxodo. El pueblo de Israel camina por el desierto en busca de una tierra prometida. Y, en el desierto, el agua es un elemento fundamental que no puede faltar. Y si falta, la violencia y la agresividad se hace presente en unos y en otros. El agua es el elemento esencial del bautismo tal y como quiso el mismo Jesús. El agua que alivia la sed, que da vida, que limpia y purifica es el agua que utilizamos en el Bautismo porque este sacramento nos da vida, nos limpia y purifica. Recordemos hoy nuestro bautismo, aquel que nos hizo hijos de Dios y miembros de la Iglesia y preguntémonos si estamos cumpliendo con sus compromisos.
La segunda lectura la hemos tomado de la carta de san Pablo a los cristianos de Roma. Nos ha hablado de fe, de paz, de gracia, de esperanza, de un amor derramado en nuestros corazones por el Padre Dios, de un Cristo que muere por nosotros que somos pecadores. Vivamos este tiempo cuaresmal con la vista puesta en ese Cristo que muere en la cruz por amor. Participemos en el Vía Crucis que, todos los viernes, tiene lugar en nuestras parroquias. Eso nos ayudará a sintonizar con los sentimientos del Jesús que camina hacia la cruz.
El relato del evangelio nos ha traído a nuestra memoria el encuentro de Jesús con la samaritana. Un encuentro salvador, sanador, que devolvió la paz interior y la felicidad, largamente buscada, a una mujer necesitada de que alguien le hiciese saber que era profundamente amada y que tenía motivos para mirar al futuro con optimismo y sentir que, en su presente, había motivos, más que suficientes, para ser feliz. ¡Ojalá que ese encuentro de Jesús con la samaritana pueda tener lugar también con cada uno de nosotros a lo largo de este tiempo cuaresmal! Busquemos el encuentro con Cristo. Sabemos que lo podemos descubrir en el sagrario, en la soledad de tantas iglesias, en el evangelio y en esas charlas cuaresmales que empezarán el día 31 de este mes de marzo y que continuarán durante los días 1, 2, 3 y 4 de Abril. Estarán dirigidas por Don Valentín Garcés, Deán de la Catedral de Jaca. Os invitamos encarecidamente a asistir a ellas. Nos vendrá bien.
