HOMILÍA
En nuestro camino hacia la Pascua, hemos escuchado las lecturas propias de este tercer domingo de Cuaresma. Lecturas que quieren ayudarnos a convertirnos, a cambiar de vida, de actitudes y de comportamientos, de formas de ser y de pensar. Lecturas, a través de las cuales, Dios sale a nuestro encuentro para hablarnos al corazón, para susurrarnos palabras de ternura, invitación apremiante a volvernos a Él y a descubrir al prójimo que camina a nuestro lado y con el cual estamos llamados a construir unas relaciones vivas y fraternas.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro del Éxodo y ha tenido como protagonista principal a Moisés. Recordemos que, el pasado domingo, se nos presentó la figura de Abrahán, el padre en la fe. La figura de Moisés está asociada a la idea de la liberación de la esclavitud de Egipto. La iniciativa parte de Dios: “he visto la opresión de mi pueblo, he oído sus quejas, me he fijado en sus sufrimientos…voy a bajar a librarlos y a llevarlos a una tierra nueva.” Moisés acepará el envite que Dios le presenta y liderará la salida de los israelitas de Egipto y los conducirá a la tierra prometida.
También hoy el Señor nos viene a decir a cada uno de nosotros las mismas palabras que dirigió a Moisés: “He visto la opresión de mi pueblo, he oído sus quejas, me he fijado en sus sufrimientos” ¿Quieres echar una mano, colaborar? ¿Quieres luchar contra las injusticias, darte cuenta del sufrimiento en el que viven tantos seres humanos? ¿Quieres hacer tuya la causa de los que sufren, de los que lo pasan mal, de los que padecen las consecuencias de los terremotos, de los desastres naturales? ¿Quieres dar tu dinero y, sobre todo, darte a ti mismo para que todos tengan lo necesario para vivir, para que cualquier ser humano tenga la oportunidad de vivir en una tierra nueva, en una tierra que mane leche y miel? En esta cuaresma descubramos que Dios nos invita, a cada uno de nosotros, a ser agentes de liberación.
La segunda lectura la hemos tomado de la primera carta que san Pablo escribió a la comunidad cristiana de Corinto. Hemos visto cómo el apóstol hace referencia precisamente a ese periodo en el que lo israelitas, conducidos por Moisés, atravesaron el desierto en busca de la tierra prometida. Todos tuvieron el mismo libertador y las mismas gracias del cielo, pero no todos agradaron a Dios. También el Señor nos da a nosotros las mismas gracias, la misma cuaresma, la misma llamada a la conversión. Pero, quizás, no todos aprovechen la ocasión de la misma manera. Hagamos caso de las palabras de Jesús que, en el evangelio, una y otra vez, nos llama a la conversión. No seamos como esa higuera que, a pesar de los cuidados y de las atenciones de la que era objeto, no daba fruto. Valoremos la paciencia de Dios con nosotros.
