HOMILÍA
Hemos escuchado las lecturas propias del tercer domingo del tiempo ordinario. Un domingo en el que los cristianos celebramos la Jornada de la Infancia Misionera. Los niños de los países cristianos y, aquellos que viven teniendo lo necesario para vivir, tienen hoy una cita con tantos miles y miles de niños de las naciones más pobres de la tierra. Unos y otros se van a encontrar a través de esa colecta y de esa plegaria a la que son invitados por la Iglesia. Y nosotros, los adultos, debemos enseñarles a nuestros niños que el amor, el compartir, el ser solidarios, el transmitir la propia fe, son tareas que hay que aprender a realizar ya desde la más tierna infancia.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro de Nehemías. Un libro del Antiguo Testamento que nos cuenta la vuelta de los desterrados a la patria, la reconstrucción del templo y del país y la lectura, solemne y multitudinaria, de la Palabra de Dios en la tierra que vio nacer a sus padres. La alegría más profunda, el gozo más íntimo y verdadero se apodera de sus corazones y hacen fiesta, organizan banquetes y sienten que algo nuevo y distinto está comenzando. También nosotros escuchamos cada domingo la Palabra de Dios. Bueno será que le prestemos la atención debida, que comprendamos su significado, que nos preguntemos qué es lo que el Padre Dios nos está diciendo a cada uno de nosotros y ¡ojala que, también en nuestro caso, esa Palabra de Dios sea escuchada con gozo y alegría y llene de fiesta nuestro corazón!
La segunda lectura es de la carta que San Pablo escribió a la comunidad cristiana de Corinto. Les dice que los cristianos formamos un cuerpo y que, cada uno de nosotros, es un miembro. Nadie sobra. Todos somos necesarios. Santa Teresita del Niño Jesús solía decir que, en ese cuerpo que formamos los cristianos y que se llama Iglesia, ella querría ser el corazón. No importa lo que seamos. Importa ser un miembro de ese cuerpo y aportarle lo mejor que podamos y tengamos. Preguntémonos que es lo que la Iglesia espera de nosotros, cuáles son esas cualidades y dones que podemos poner al servicio de todo el conjunto.
El relato del evangelio de Lucas ha tenido dos partes. Por un lado, nos ha transmitido sus primeras palabras en las que el evangelista nos dice que, antes de ponerse a escribir los hechos y las palabras de Jesús, se informó exhaustivamente de todo. Por otro lado, nos ha recordado las palabras de Jesús en la sinagoga de Nazaret en la que, después de proclamar un texto del profeta Isaías, se limita a decir que esas palabras se cumplen en él. Que él es el enviado a anunciar el evangelio a los pobres, el que va a dar la vista a los ciegos, el que liberará a los oprimidos, el que anunciará el año de gracia del Señor. Dispongámonos a escuchar, el resto del año, las palabras, llenas de vida, de Jesús.
