La fiesta de la Pascua de Resurrección está cada día más cerca. El tiempo cuaresmal camina hacia su final pero, antes, los cristianos tenemos una tarea que realizar, una misión que cumplir: cambiar de vida, de actitudes, de comportamientos. O, lo que es lo mismo, convertirnos, volvernos a Dios y ponernos al servicio de los demás. ¿Lo estamos haciendo así? El sacramento del Perdón, la confesión, nos pude ayudar en este empeño. Venzamos la lógica pereza, acudamos al sacerdote, confesemos nuestros pecados, hagamos un firme propósito de la enmienda, reavivemos el amor primero.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro de Josué. Atrás ha quedado la larga marcha por el desierto y ha llegado la hora de comer de la primera cosecha en esa nueva tierra que se les había prometido. También nosotros llegaremos a una nueva tierra que será la Pascua, la Resurrección de Jesús. ¡Ojalá que nos encuentre plenamente preparados y dispuestos!
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los Corintios, nos ha recordado una frase que los cristianos no podemos olvidar en este tiempo cuaresmal: “En nombre de Cristo, os pedimos que os reconciliéis con Dios.” Que estas palabras constituyan para nosotros toda una llamada a no dejarla caer en saco roto. Que, la posible apatía, dé paso a una firme decisión de buscar la reconciliación con Dios y con el prójimo.
El relato del evangelio de Lucas nos ha contado la entrañable parábola del Hijo Pródigo, del Padre bueno. ¿Quiénes somos nosotros: el hijo que rompe con el Padre y se va de casa o el hijo mayor que siente celos del perdón que ese Padre concede al hijo menor o el padre que quiere a los dos y que se esfuerza porque se quieran, porque sean hermanos de verdad? Reflexionemos sobre lo que Jesús nos quiso decir.
