HOMILÍA
Las lecturas que acabamos de escuchar nos ponen en contacto directo con el misterio de la Navidad que celebraremos el próximo domingo. Un tiempo para fijar nuestros ojos en el Niño que viene a nuestras vidas y a nuestras personas. Un tiempo para fijar también nuestros ojos en esos prójimos que, cerca o lejos de nosotros, sufren la pobreza, el dolor, el sufrimiento. No dejemos de colaborar estos días con Cáritas que realiza la Campaña de Navidad. Antes se iba por las casas, recordamos, pero hoy podemos depositar nuestro donativo en cualquiera de nuestras Parroquias o entregándolo directamente a Cáritas. Navidad es generosidad, es compartir, es dar, es ayudar.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Isaías que recuerda al rey de Israel el próximo nacimiento de un hijo pero que a nosotros nos recuerda el nacimiento de Jesús que será un Emmanuel, es decir, un Dios con nosotros. Compartirá con nosotros el dolor y la alegría, la tristeza y el gozo y nos invitará, en más de una ocasión, a curar, a aliviar, a consolar, a acompañar a todo aquel que lo necesite.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los romanos, nos ha hablado también de este Jesús que viene a nosotros, que se hace hombre, sin dejar de ser Dios en el más pleno sentido de la palabra. Dos palabras cobran fuerza en este texto: gracia y paz. Pidamos al Señor que nos conceda la gracia de estar unidos a él y en paz con todo el mundo.
El relato del Evangelio de Lucas nos ha puesto de relieve las dificultades por las que pasaron María y José antes de aceptar el proyecto que Dios les tenía preparado. José cuidará de María y de Jesús a quien le pondrá el nombre por el que le conocemos. También aquí aparece la palabra que definirá la misión de ese niño que nace en Belén: Será el Emmanuel, el Dios con nosotros. ¡Que nosotros estemos con él!
