HOMILÍA
Han resonado en nuestros oídos y, ojala que también en nuestros corazones, las lecturas del cuarto domingo de Pascua. Seguimos poniendo nuestra mirada en Jesús Resucitado, es verdad, pero ya no escuchamos relatos de apariciones como estos domingos pasados. Jesús es presentado como el “Buen Pastor” y como la “Puerta” por la que es necesario entrar para alcanzar la salvación. En este domingo, la Iglesia celebra la Jornada Mundial de Oración por las Vocaciones y la Jornada y Colecta de las llamadas Vocaciones Nativas.
La primera lectura, tomada del libro de los Hechos de los Apóstoles, nos ha mostrado un discurso de Pedro que, tras recordar al Jesús clavado en la Cruz, lo presenta, ya resucitado, como Señor y Mesías. Lo que provoca en sus oyentes un deseo de cambio. “¿Qué tenemos que hacer?” Pedro lo tiene claro: “Convertíos y bautizaos en el nombre de Jesús.” También en tiempo de Pascua el Señor nos pide, a cada uno de nosotros, que nos convirtamos.
La segunda lectura, de la primera carta de Pedro, nos viene a decir que es mejor padecer haciendo el bien que padecer haciendo el mal y que el mejor ejemplo lo tenemos en Jesús que no devolvía el insulto cuando era atacado, que sufriendo no profería amenazas, que llevó nuestros pecados y se convirtió en el pastor y guardián de nuestras almas. Recordemos a Jesús bajo esta imagen de un Buen Pastor.
El evangelio de Juan nos ha dicho que Jesús es la puerta en el aprisco de las ovejas, que estamos llamados a descubrirlo así porque, si entramos a través de él, tendremos Vida y ésta será abundante. Recemos hoy para que nunca falten en la Iglesia buenos pastores que nos conduzcan a todos por el buen camino y para que, en cada país, haya vocaciones nativas que lleven a los suyos al encuentro del Salvador.
