HOMILÍA
Celebrar el quinto domingo de cuaresma es estar ya a las puertas de la Semana Santa y de las grandes celebraciones que, en ella, tienen lugar: los ramos que reciben a Jesús darán paso a la última cena, a la institución de la eucaristía, a la proclamación del mandamiento del amor, al lavatorio de los pies, a los hechos trágicos del viernes Santo, a los azotes, a la coronación de espinas, a la condena a muerte, a la cruz. Una cruz que no es el final de camino, sino solo el paso obligado hacia la resurrección de la mañana de Pascua.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Isaías. Unas palabras parece sobresalir por encima de las demás: “No recordéis lo de antaño, no penséis en lo antiguo; mirad que realizo algo nuevo; ya está brotando, ¿no lo notáis?” Lo de antaño, lo antiguo, es el pecado, el mal que hay en cada uno de nosotros. El Señor está dispuesto a realizar algo nuevo con cada uno de nosotros. Lo que hemos dejado atrás, tiene que dar paso a una nueva realidad, a una vida basada en el amor.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los Filipenses, también contiene una frase muy parecida a la de la primera lectura: “Olvidándome de lo que queda atrás y lanzándome hacia lo que está por delante, corro hacia la meta, hacia el premio, al cual me llama Dios desde arriba en Cristo Jesús”. Lo que queda atrás es el pecado. Lo que está por delante, la meta que nos espera, es una vida en Cristo Jesús.
El relato del evangelio de Lucas nos habla de los deseos de condena y de muerte que hay en el interior de algunos y del corazón misericordioso de Jesús que sabe perdonar a los que reconocen su pecado, poniendo al descubierto los pecados de los que están dispuestos a condenar. Hagamos como Jesús: sepamos perdonar, comprender, disculpar los fallos de los demás, porque así nos gustaría ser tratados.
