HOMILÍA
Acabamos de escuchar la Palabra de Dios en este domingo que hace el número seis del tiempo ordinario. La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Jeremías. Sus palabras constituyen un canto de alabanza a esa actitud que, como creyentes, estamos llamados a desarrollar: la confianza en el Señor. Creer en alguien es fiarse de él, confiar en él. En el idioma en que está escrita la mayor parte de la Biblia, el Hebreo, se utiliza la misma palabra para decir “creer” que para explicar cómo se siente un niño pequeño en los brazos de su madre. Cuando nosotros nos confesamos creyentes ¿lo hacemos con la misma seguridad, con la misma confianza del niño que duerme, seguro y confiado, arropado por los brazos de su madre? Si no es así, pidámoselo al Señor. Estemos seguros de que Él no nos deja nunca de su mano, ni siquiera en los peores momentos de nuestra existencia; aunque, a veces, es verdad, no lleguemos a sentir el calor de su presencia y de su cercanía. Pero Él está ahí.
La segunda lectura la hemos tomado de la carta de San Pablo a los cristianos de Corinto. Una comunidad inquieta, llena de problemas, de dudas, de incertidumbres. Algunos comenzaban a extender la idea de que Cristo había resucitado, sí, pero que eso no implicaba que los demás seres humanos fueran a resucitar. El apóstol les escribe para poner las cosas en su sitio: No solo Cristo ha resucitado. Todos resucitaremos. La resurrección de Cristo es garantía de todas las demás. Nuestro destino está unido al suyo.
El evangelio nos ha recordado las bienaventuranzas. Constituyen el corazón del mensaje de Jesús. No se puede ser un cristiano auténtico sin una referencia expresa a las bienaventuranzas. Para Jesús son dichosos los pobres, los que pasan hambre, los que lloran, los que son odiados, insultados y depreciados por los demás. Y son dichosos porque son especialmente queridos por Él, porque son aquellos sobre los que Él descarga todo su amor. Si nosotros nos decimos cristianos, también hemos de querer, de una forma especial, a estos colectivos y hemos de luchar por su liberación con obras y de verdad. Si permanecemos al margen, no estamos siendo fieles al espíritu de las Bienaventuranzas, a lo fundamental del mensaje de Jesús.
Las bienaventuranzas nos impulsan a construir un mundo más justo, más solidario. También a consolar, a aliviar, a estar cerca del que sufre, a escuchar, a animar. Recemos por los que lo pasan mal y para que nosotros sepamos estar siempre a su lado. Sólo así seremos fieles a lo que Dios espera de nosotros.
