HOMILÍA
Un domingo más, la Palabra de Dios ha entrado por nuestros oídos y va camino de nuestro corazón y de nuestra voluntad. Allí se convertirá en reflexión y en compromiso. Poco a poco, domingo a domingo, el Padre Dios nos va indicando el camino, nos sugiere cosas, nos invita a ver a las personas con ojos nuevos, nos exige actitudes y comportamientos, pero también nos hace ver que no estamos solos, que Él nos acompaña y nos muestra su cariño y su ternura. ¿Cómo, sino, seríamos capaces de cumplir lo que nos cuesta si, al mismo tiempo, no experimentáramos lo importantes que somos para Él, cuánto es lo que nos quiere a cada uno de nosotros con un amor único e irrepetible?
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Isaías. Han sido apenas tres líneas, pero tres líneas que encierran lo más importante que un ser humano necesita saber: Que Dios le quiere. Aunque, lo que parece imposible pudiera ocurrir (que una madre se olvidase de su hijo por nacer) Dios no se olvidaría de nosotros. Es bueno que muchas veces, sobre todo en los momentos malos, nos digamos a nosotros mismos una y otra vez: Dios me quiere a mí y me quiere como soy y le importan mis alegrías y mis tristezas y su perdón ha salido ya de su corazón mucho antes de que mi pecado haya podido romper la amistad con Él. El me quiere y mi amor a Él no es más que una respuesta agradecida al amor del que soy objeto.
La segunda lectura la hemos tomado, como estos domingos pasados de la carta que San Pablo escribió a la comunidad cristiana de Corinto. Les pide, en esta ocasión, que sepan ser servidores fieles de Jesús, administradores responsables de esa salvación que Dios ha puesto en sus manos. Una salvación que no se la han de guardar para ellos, sino que la han de saber poner también en las manos de aquellos con los que conviven. La fe que se vive y se celebra ha de ser comunicada. En nuestras manos está que otros se acerquen a Dios y le amen.
El relato del evangelio de san Mateo nos ha recordado, por una parte, una gran verdad: que no podemos servir a Dios y al dinero; que no podemos hacer, de las cosas que poseemos, ídolos a los que adorar y servir. Y, por otra, que en el corazón de todo creyente ha de brotar una inmensa confianza en el Señor. Si Él cuida de los pájaros y de los lirios del campo ¡Cuánto más ha de estar dispuesto a querer y cuidar a lo seres humanos hechos a su imagen y semejanza! Procuremos vivir sin esos agobios y esas preocupaciones que nos paralizan y pongamos toda nuestra confianza y seguridad en el Dios que sabe lo que necesitamos. Busquemos, lo primero de todo, hacer su voluntad, conscientes de que, todo lo demás, ya lo tenemos cubierto con su providencia. Pongamos en sus manos de Padre nuestros problemas y nuestras penas. Él sabe.
