HOMILÍA
Dos celebraciones importantes se unen en este día. Por un lado, estamos en el segundo domingo de Adviento. Por otro, es la Solemnidad de la Inmaculada. En España, hacemos hincapié en esta fiesta de Santa María pero sin olvidar que estamos en ese tiempo de espera y de esperanza que nos llevará hasta la Navidad. Las lecturas son del día de la Inmaculada, excepto la segunda que la tomamos del segundo domingo de Adviento. Al fin y al cabo todo está unido. La fiesta de la Inmaculada nos habla del Jesús que viene y el tiempo del Adviento no se entiende sin una referencia expresa a esta María que nos trae a Jesús y nos enseña a preparar su venida.
La primera lectura, tomada del libro del Génesis, nos ha hablado de la historia del primer pecado, de la primera ruptura de la amistad entre los seres humanos y su Creador. Pero también, es cierto, se nos habla de una promesa de salvación, de una mujer que aplastará la cabeza de la serpiente, símbolo del mal y del pecado. Esa mujer es María, la que con su sí, con su aceptación de los designios de Dios sobre ella, nos trae a Jesús, al Salvador, al vencedor del pecado, del mal y de la muerte.
La segunda lectura, de la carta de San Pablo a los cristianos de Roma, pone ante nuestros ojos todo un cúmulo de palabras, de realidades, que nos pueden ayudar a vivir con intensidad este tiempo de Adviento. Hemos escuchado mensajes de consuelo y de paciencia, de acogida mutua, de dar gloria a Dios con nuestra vida, de fidelidad, de cumplimiento de promesas divinas, de misericordia. Vivámoslos de una forma especial en este tiempo de Adviento.
El relato del Evangelio de San Lucas ha hecho referencia a un Sí que cambió la historia de la humanidad. Un sí que hizo posible que Jesús viniera a nuestro mundo y compartiera nuestra historia humana. Un sí salvador. Demos gracias a María por su aceptación y pidámosle que nos ayude a nosotros a decir también un sí cargado de amor y de entrega. Un sí a dar y a darnos. Un sí a colaborar, a ayudar, a ser solidarios. Un sí a preparar los caminos de su hijo Jesús. Un sí a cambiar de vida, de actitudes, de comportamientos. Un sí a proclamar, con nuestra palabra y nuestra vida, la Buena Noticia de Jesús. Un sí a estar al servicio de los más necesitados. Un sí a ponernos a la escucha que, en este tiempo de Adviento, nos está haciendo llegar Juan el Bautista.
