HOMILÍA
Celebra hoy la Iglesia el llamado “Domingo de Ramos” en el que recordamos a un Jesús que va a emprender la aventura de sus últimos días que comienzan con su solemne entrada en la ciudad de Jerusalén. En aquella calle, por la que entra, hay una gran multitud que le aclama, hay mantos y ramos de olivo, hay un borriquillo que le lleva a caballo, hay niños entusiasmados que acompañan a sus padres, hay unos apóstoles asustados por el tumulto que se está armando y que no saben cómo acabará. Hay una palabra que hoy la seguimos proclamado: “Hosanna” que viene a manifestar una alegría incontenible.
Pero, en el corazón de Jesús, hay angustia y tristeza. Él sabe, que la alegría del ambiente, enmascara los colores de la Pasión y de la Muerte en la Cruz. Él sabe que vendrán los dolores de los azotes, de las burlas de los que desean su muerte, de la cruz que deberá llevar sobre sus hombros, de la corona de espinas que se convertirá en una corona de sangre, de sudor y de lágrimas, del abandono de los que hasta hace poco se decían sus amigos, del encuentro con su madre, con la Verónica, con la mujeres de Jerusalén que no pueden hacer nada por ayudarle.
También es consciente de que tiene una cita ineludible con los Apóstoles en la tarde de aquel primer Jueves Santo de la Historia en la que les proclamará el mandamiento del amor como su signo distintivo, en el que instituirá la Eucaristía y hará de sus amigos sacerdotes, continuadores de su misión y de su obra. Habrá un momento en el que se arrodillará ante ellos y les lavará los pies para enseñarles que están llamados a ser servidores de los unos de los otros.
Y, el Viernes Santo, recogerá su sangre y lo llevarán a un sepulcro nuevo en la espera de la Resurrección. Vivamos estos días con toda la intensidad posible, acerquémonos a sus sentimientos, dejémonos amar.
