HOMILÍA
La Iglesia se dispone a vivir las grandes celebraciones de la Semana Santa. Hoy, recordamos a Jesús en su entrada triunfante y solemne en la ciudad de Jerusalén. Es el Domingo de Ramos. Es un día marcado por la alegría, por el gozo de tantos hombres, mujeres; de tantos niños, jóvenes, adultos y ancianos que vitorean al Jesús que les ha curado de sus enfermedades, que ha llevado paz a sus corazones, que les ha hablado de un Dios Padre que les quiere, que les ha infundido una esperanza para vivir, que les ha hablado de cómo el amor es el signo distintivo que ha de presidir sus vidas y sus personas; que les ha dicho también que la fe, que la confianza, hace posible los milagros que los seres humanos buscamos y necesitamos.
Todos sabemos cómo la alegría de esta jornada no es completa. Jesús sabe, mejor que nadie, que el entusiasmo que rodea este día va a quedar oscurecido por los acontecimientos que van a tener lugar en las próximas fechas. Por eso les hablará a los suyos de que quiere celebrar con ellos una Última Cena, una Cena de despedida. Y la preparará con todo el mimo y el detalle, con toda la importancia y trascendencia que le quiere dar. Lo veremos el día de Jueves Santo. Entonces recordaremos todo lo que, en ella, tuvo lugar. Cosas importantes que han llegado hasta hoy, que nos constituyen como comunidad cristiana, que nos impulsan a reunirnos, cada domingo, como familia, como comunidad, y a repetir incluso las palabras y los gestos que entonces tuvieron lugar.
Tras la Jornada de Jueves Santo, los cristianos seremos invitados a recordar los pasos que siguió Jesús, con la cruz a cuestas, camino del Calvario. Un calvario que recogerá sus últimas palabras, que verá cómo su sangre empapa la tierra, que notará la ausencia clamorosa de sus amigos los apóstoles y la presencia cercana de su Madre María y del evangelista San Juan, a los que acompañan hombres y mujeres valientes que no temerán las consecuencias de mostrarse cercanos a aquel crucificado. Constatada su muerte, será descendido de la cruz y colocado en un sepulcro nuevo. El dolor de los suyos no les impedirá hacer lo que la piedad pide que se haga con los difuntos. Y allí quedará.
La verdad es que no por mucho tiempo. La vida vencerá a la muerte, la primavera al invierno, el gozo al llanto, los abrazos a las lágrimas. Eso sí, todo eso tardará un poco en ser comprendido y aceptado, porque no les será fácil asumir lo que, a todas luces, parecía imposible: que alguien, a quien habían visto morir en una cruz, pudiera volver de nuevo a la vida y hablar y comer y estar con ellos. De otra forma, es verdad, pero no por eso menos real. Vivamos con intensidad esta Semana Santa. Acompañemos a Jesús. Recemos. Reflexionemos.
