II DOMINGO DE NAVIDAD
El tiempo de Navidad nos remite a una amalgama de sentimientos y tradiciones. El encuentro familiar y el ambiente festivo, como lo expresan las comidas, los regalos, los adornos y todo lo que marca la agitación de estos días que hemos vividos, nos muestran nuestra realidad. Pero en esta vorágine, podemos perder de vista, lo qué estamos celebrando. La liturgia del tiempo navideño viene en nuestra ayuda para poder vivir el sentido profundo de la Navidad. El misterio de Dios que se encarna en nuestra historia, es testigo de ello y el cumplimiento del anhelo profundo, del corazón humano. Como nos recuerda el Papa Francisco: “el pesebre, mientras nos muestra a Dios tal y como ha venido al mundo, nos invita a pensar en nuestra vida injertada en la de Dios; nos invita a ser discípulos suyos si queremos alcanzar el sentido último de la vida.” (Admirabile signum 8).
El ciclo navideño es una paulatina manifestación del Misterio de la Encarnación, que comienza la noche de Navidad en donde el Niño es presentado a los pobres, de ayer y hoy, y culmina con la fiesta del Bautismo del Señor en donde el Dios, comunidad de amor Trinitario, revela la misión de Jesús.
En ese contexto el segundo domingo de Navidad nos nuestra la identidad profunda de Jesús, poéticamente expresado por el Prólogo del Evangelio de Juan. Pero al mismo tiempo nos ayuda a captar como la acción de Dios se expresa en su sabiduría tal como lo expresa el fragmento del libro del Eclesiástico que leemos en esta celebración. Por último, el himno de la carta a los Efesios es el corolario adecuado de este día.
Dejémonos iluminar por la profundidad de este misterio para que nos impulse a afrontar los desafíos del tiempo que nos toca vivir. Con la certeza que en Jesús está la vida, y la vida es la luz de los hombres (Cf Jn 1,4).
