HOMILÍA
Escuchar el mensaje de las lecturas del cuarto domingo de Adviento, como acabamos de hacer, constituye una llamada apremiante a preparar nuestro corazón para la celebración del nacimiento de Jesús, cuya fiesta conmemoraremos antes del próximo domingo. Ese domingo también será especial porque recordaremos que el Jesús que nació en Belén, nació también en el seno de una familia humana normal como la de cada uno de nosotros. Bueno es que intensifiquemos los sentimientos y los comportamientos propios de estos días previos a la Navidad.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Miqueas. Él nos habla de Belén como del lugar del nacimiento del Mesías. Lo presenta como un buen pastor que gobernará con la fuerza del Señor. Y dice de él que traerá la paz para todos. En estos días dirijamos nuestra mirada hacia el Belén de hoy donde todavía viven muchos cristianos. Pensemos en Jesús como el esperado y pidámosle que traiga la paz a tantos pueblos y a tantas personas que la anhelan.
La segunda lectura, de la carta a los Hebreos, nos ha presentado al Jesús que entra en nuestro mundo en la humildad y sencillez de un niño recién nacido. Su cuerpo será una ofrenda que, en su día, pondrá en el altar de la cruz para traer la salvación a todo ser humano. Imitemos a este Jesús poniendo nuestras vidas al servicio de los demás. No podremos hacer milagros, es verdad, pero siempre estará en nuestras manos el hacer el bien, el ayudar a los necesitados, el amar a todos.
El relato del evangelio de Lucas nos ha narrado el momento en el que María visita a su prima santa Isabel y recibe de ella una alabanza que todos hacemos nuestra cuando rezamos el Ave María: “Bendita tu entre las mujeres y bendito el fruto de tu vientre”. Cada vez que recemos esta sentida plegaria, recordemos a ese niño que ella nos trajo y nos trae.
