HOMILÍA
Tras la Solemnidad de Pentecostés que celebramos el domingo pasado y, antes de hacer memoria de la del Corpus Christi del próximo domingo, hoy la Iglesia nos invita a dirigir nuestra mirada hacia ese Dios que es Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo. Hacia ese Dios que es Trinidad de Personas, unidas por el amor. Es lo que proclama nuestra Fe, es lo que confesamos en el Credo todos los domingos. A lo largo del año celebramos fiestas que hacen referencia al Padre o al Hijo o al Espíritu Santo. En este domingo, nuestra atención se dirige a las tres divinas personas en su conjunto.
Y recordamos también que, en muchas ocasiones, lo venimos haciendo cuando nuestra mano forma la señal de la Cruz en la frente, en la boca, en el pecho. También, cuando bautizamos a un niño, cuando se perdonan nuestros pecados en el sacramento de la Confesión, cuando recibimos la bendición del sacerdote al final de la Misa, cuando los novios intercambian sus alianzas matrimoniales. Tratemos de ser conscientes de la presencia de la Santísima Trinidad en tantos momentos de nuestra existencia. Vivamos una relación muy entrañable con cada una de las tres divinas personas por separado y con todas ellas en su conjunto.
Sabemos que fue Jesús el que nos fue enseñando, poco a poco, el misterio de Dios. Comenzó hablándonos del Padre, diciéndonos cuánto nos ama a todos y a cada uno de nosotros. Nos impulsó a rezarle con la oración del “Padre Nuestro”. También nos habló de su igualdad con el Padre: “Yo y el Padre somos uno” dirá en alguna ocasión. Al final de su vida, nos insistió en que, cuando él dejara de estar visiblemente presente, nos enviaría al Espíritu Santo que nos fortalecería, que nos ayudaría a comprender sus palabras y sus hechos. Confesemos la Fe.
