HOMILÍA
Este quinto domingo del tiempo pascual todavía estamos llamados a celebrarlo dentro de los límites que nos impone el confinamiento en nuestras casas. A partir de este próximo lunes, día 11, podremos participar, con las debidas limitaciones, en la celebración de la Eucaristía diaria y dominical. Bueno es que nos informemos, de la forma y manera que se nos pide, para que podamos celebrar, con prudencia y responsabilidad, la misa.
La primera lectura, del libro de los Hechos de los Apóstoles, nos ha recordado un conflicto ocurrido entre diversos grupos de cristianos. Unos procedían del mundo judío. Otros, del mundo pagano. Los pobres de una comunidad eran mejor atendidos que los pobres de la otra comunidad. Y eso, creó tensiones, que llevaron a los apóstoles a reunirse para buscar una solución. Y la que encontraron fue esta: la creación de un grupo, los llamados Diáconos, que se encargarían preferentemente de la atención a los más necesitados. Los apóstoles se dedicarían así, con más libertad, a la oración y al servicio de la Palabra. También en nuestras comunidades pude haber tensiones y rupturas. Bueno será, entonces, que sepamos reunirnos, orar juntos y llegar a un entendimiento y a un consenso con la ayuda del Señor.
La segunda lectura, de la carta de San Pedro, nos ha recordado dos frases sobre las que, en este día, estamos llamados a reflexionar. La primera de ellas, decía: “Jesús es la piedra angular que nos mantiene a todos unidos en la Iglesia”. La segunda, nos describe, lo que somos los cristianos: “un linaje elegido, un sacerdocio real, una nación santa, un pueblo adquirido por Dios”. Si esto somos, esto es lo que debemos vivir y practicar. Somos muy importantes para ese Dios Padre que quiere que estemos muy unidos a Jesús como los sarmientos están unidos a la vid.
El evangelio de Juan también encierra un mensaje que debemos conservar en nuestra memoria y en nuestro corazón. Jesús se definía a sí mismo como “el camino, la verdad y la vida.” Jesús es la puerta, tal como nos decía el evangelio de la semana pasada, por la que podemos acceder al Padre. Jesús es la imagen visible del Dios invisible. Quien ha visto a Jesús ha visto al Padre. Domingo a domingo, día a día, asomémonos a las páginas del evangelio, reflexionemos sobre las palabras y la vida de Jesús. Ellas nos llevaran al Padre que nos espera.
