HOMILÍA
Hemos escuchado las lecturas del domingo once del tiempo ordinario. Un tiempo que retomamos después de haberlo interrumpido con la llegada de la cuaresma, la celebración de la Semana Santa, la vivencia del tiempo pascual y las grandes fiestas que hemos celebrado en estos últimos domingos: Pentecostés, domingo de la Santísima Trinidad y el Corpus Christi. El tiempo ordinario nos habla del Jesús que caminaba por los pueblos y senderos de Palestina enseñando, haciendo milagros, acercándose a la gente para llevarles al convencimiento de que eran amados por un Dios que es Padre.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Ezequiel. Utiliza imágenes de árboles altos y árboles pequeños para hablarnos del orgullo y de la soberbia, de la humildad y de la sencillez. Seamos árboles pequeños para ser exaltados por el Señor. La humildad y la sencillez nos abrirán las puertas del corazón de Dios. ¡Cómo no recordar el himno que entonó María ante su prima Isabel: "Proclama mi alma la grandeza del Señor, se alegra mi espíritu en Dios mi salvador, porque se ha fijado en la humildad de su esclava. Dispersa a los soberbios de corazón, derriba del trono a los poderosos y enaltece a los humildes!
La segunda lectura, de la carta de San Pablo a los Corintios, nos ha recordado que, mientras caminamos al encuentro del Señor, debemos esforzarnos en agradarle. Un día seremos juzgados por cómo hemos cumplido con esta misión. Si la humildad y la sencillez forman parte de nuestro bagaje como cristianos, podemos decir que tenemos la partida ganada. Pidamos al Señor esa gracia.
El relato del Evangelio de San Marcos nos ha hablado de la semilla de mostaza que, siendo tan pequeña, llega a convertirse en un gran árbol. Seamos nosotros como ella: pequeña, humilde, sencilla.
