HOMILÍA
Estamos metidos de lleno, como sabemos, en el llamado Tiempo Ordinario. Las lecturas que acabamos de escuchar son del domingo doce de este tiempo. Lecturas, textos bíblicos del antiguo y del nuevo testamento que llegan hasta nosotros como si de una carta del Padre Dios se tratase. Es bueno que nos pongamos a la escucha, que nos preguntemos cuál es el mensaje, cuál es la enseñanza que tienen para todos y, para cada uno de nosotros, en particular. Seguro que, a poco que nos paremos a reflexionar, descubriremos con gozo sugerencias, ideas, sentimientos, posibles actividades.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Zacarías. Sus palabras apuntan a un futuro en el que se derramará sobre los habitantes de Jerusalén un espíritu de gracia y de clemencia. Y todo ello estará unido a alguien a quien traspasaron. Nosotros, cristianos, conocemos muy bien los hechos ocurridos en la cruz, en la que un soldado romano atravesó el costado de Jesús y de él salió sangre y agua. Jesús es, pues, el traspasado, al que se dirigen las miradas, suplicantes y anhelantes, de los cristianos de todos los tiempos. Él hará posible para nosotros ese espíritu de gracia y de clemencia.
Estos días pasados hemos celebrado la solemnidad del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús y, durante todo este mes de junio, rezamos las letanías que nos hablan de un corazón de Cristo inflamado de amor a los hombres. Un corazón traspasado por la lanza del soldado, hoguera ardiente de caridad, asilo de justicia y de amor, paciente y de mucha misericordia, rico para todos los que le invocan, fuente de todo consuelo. Un corazón, salvación de los que en Él esperan y esperanza de los que en Él mueren. Un corazón, manso y humilde, al que le pedimos que haga nuestro corazón semejante al suyo.
La segunda lectura la hemos tomado de la carta que el Apóstol Pablo escribió a los cristianos que vivían en la región gálata. Pablo les recuerda la esencial igualdad de todos: judíos y gentiles, esclavos y libres, hombres y mujeres. Todos somos hijos de Dios. Todos, al optar por Jesús, al bautizarnos en su nombre, nos hemos revestido de Cristo. En la antigüedad, los adoradores de un determinado dios, se revestían con los ropajes de la estatua que lo representaba. De alguna forma, pensaban, se unían así más profundamente a él. Hagamos nosotros lo mismo. Revistámonos de Cristo, de sus sentimientos, de su estilo de vida, de su mensaje de amor.
De esta manera, estaremos en las mejores condiciones para responder a la pregunta que Jesús les hacía a los suyos: “¿Quién decís vosotros que soy yo?” Y no nos importará tampoco asumir sus exigencias que hablan de negarse uno a sí mismo y de cargar con su Cruz cada día.
