2º DOMINGO DE PASCUA
(Jn 20,19-31.) Los discípulos, aún sin creer de verdad lo que Jesús había dicho durante su vida terrena, que debía morir y resucitar de entre los muertos, se reúnen el primer día de la semana con las puertas cerradas por miedo a los judíos.
Tres son los datos más significativos que podemos entresacar del evangelio que acabamos de escuchar: En primer lugar, los discípulos se reunieron el primer día de la semana, que para nosotros es el domingo. Aún no son conscientes de la importancia que tiene ese día como memoria de la resurrección de Jesucristo; pero desde aquel momento seguirán reuniéndose ese día para celebrar lo más importante de su fe, aunque al principio tengan las puertas cerradas por miedo a los judíos.
En segundo lugar, los discípulos se llenaron de alegría al ver al Señor, la presencia transforma sus vidas; es una de alegría que ya nadie les pueda arrebatar, porque Cristo está con ellos, y ellos están en Cristo. Una alegría que cambió la actitud temerosa de los primeros cristianos, de los discípulos, y les impulsó a abrir sus puertas y anunciar lo que era necedad para los gentiles y escándalo para los judíos. Una alegría que sólo Cristo puede darnos en su resurrección.
Y la tercera nota que hemos de tener en cuenta en este evangelio es el envío del Espíritu Santo; Jesús dijo “paz vosotros y dicho esto exaltó su Espíritu sobre ellos”; en esa reunión, Cristo les da su paz, su amor, su alegría, pero también es invita a que salgan fuera a anunciar su buena noticia a todos los hombres.
El Espíritu Santo que recibimos en el Bautismo, y luego en plenitud, en el sacramento de la Confirmación, nos compromete a ser testigos de Cristo allá donde estemos; pero a veces se nos olvida este compromiso; hemos de reflexionar sobre nuestro ser cristiano, sobre cómo estamos siendo mensajeros de esa buena noticia de paz que Cristo nos ha dejado.
Tomás dudó de la resurrección de Cristo antes de verlo con sus propios ojos; dichosos nosotros que creemos sin haber visto tan grandioso acontecimiento; la alegría, la presencia del Espíritu y la importancia del día del Señor sean ante el mundo el signo visible que presentamos los cristianos como prueba transparente de la resurrección de Cristo.
