SOMOS IGLESIA DIOCESANA
Muy estimados en el Señor: Cada año, con motivo de la Campaña del Día de la Diócesis, os dirigimos unas palabras de agradecimiento y una llamada a la responsabilidad.
La Iglesia se construye con la colaboración económica de todos, como expresión de comunión y manifestación del gran gesto del compartir lo que somos y lo que tenemos.
El sostenimiento económico de la Iglesia depende de las aportaciones de los católicos y de las personas de buena voluntad que perciben la labor espiritual, cultural, social y humana que se realiza en nuestras parroquias, grupos y comunidades.
El trabajo evangelizador, el anuncio de la Palabra, la preparación de la catequesis, la celebración de los sacramentos, las actividades docentes y asistenciales, la acción socio-caritativa y todas las iniciativas pastorales requieren generosidad, esfuerzo y medios económicos.
Es de justicia manifestar un profundo agradecimiento por la aportación económica de tantas personas, parroquias y comunidades que comparten lo que tienen y ponen a disposición de todos unos recursos que son imprescindibles para uso común.
A lo largo de los últimos años se ha realizado una amplia y eficaz tarea de sensibilización. Sentimos como propios los proyectos de la diócesis. Ha crecido nuestra conciencia de corresponsabilidad. No nos resulta ajeno el trabajo que se lleva a cabo en múltiples iniciativas eclesiales.
La programación, coordinación, puesta en práctica y evaluación de las actividades pastorales se desarrollan también con ayuda de los recursos económicos.
En el hecho de compartir se hace visible el amor de Dios que habita en nuestros corazones, como nos recuerda la Primera Carta de Juan: «Si uno tiene bienes del mundo y, viendo a su hermano en necesidad, le cierra sus entrañas, ¿cómo va a estar en él el amor de Dios?» (1 Jn 3,17).
« ¿Qué tienes que no hayas recibido?» (1 Cor 4, 7). Esta afirmación de san Pablo nos anima a crecer constantemente en generosidad y desprendimiento, a abrir nuestro corazón, nuestra mente, nuestra mirada. El Apóstol nos recuerda la iniciativa generosa de Dios, que nos bendice con sus bienes.
Es necesario fomentar la comunión y la participación corresponsable en la pastoral diocesana.
Vuelvo a agradecer la generosidad demostrada de manera creciente y reiterar el llamamiento especial a la colaboración.
