SANTA OROSIA, VIRGEN Y MÁRTIR
La tradición de estas montañas dice que Santa Orosia nació en la ciudad bohemia de Laspicio, en 855, un año después de que sus padres, los príncipes Boriborio y Ludmila recibiesen las aguas bautismales. San Metodio, evangelizador de aquellas tierras, hizo lo mismo con ella en el año 868. A los quince años de edad, el 870, fue casada por poderes con el mítico rey aragonés Fortún Garcés. La joven fue enviada a Aragón con su tío Acisclo, obispo de de Lusacia, y su primo el infante Cornelio. Vinieron a España por Baviera, Alemania, las Galias y los Pirineos. Cruzaron al cordillera en octubre del año 870.
Los árabes, que se enteraron de la llegada de la princesa, avisaron a Aben Lupo de Tena, lugarteniente de Muza Abensacín, el cual organizó un pequeño ejército para capturar a la comitiva. La Santa y sus acompañantes fueron localizados en Yebra. Éstos, avisados por el peligro. Treparon hasta lo más alto del monte Oturia y se escondieron en una cueva. El musulmán, después de batir y talar la montaña, los encontró. Tras matar a Acisclo, Cornelio y su a acompañantes, Aben Lupo de encontró solo frente a Santa Orosia. Prendado por su belleza, juventud y condición noble, le propuso casar con Miramamolín de Córdoba. Al no aceptar, comenzó el martirio. Primero le cortaron los brazos y las piernas a la altura de las rodillas. Finalmente cayó la cabeza. Sus restos fueron esparcidos por la explanada del Puerto.
Dos siglos más tarde, el pastor Guillén de Guasillo, avisado en sueños, encontró los restos de la santa y dejó la Cabeza en Yebra de Basa y llevó el resto del Cuerpo a la Catedral de Jaca.
Lo que más me ha llamado siempre la atención de nuestra santa es el martirio. Eso que cantamos: En el monte de Yebra entregaste tu vida por la fe.
Mirad, el principal peldaño del pódium de la santidad es el martirio. Los tres requisitos para que se reconozca el martirio son:
1º Morir por odio a la fe.
2º No resistirse al martirio.
y 3º Perdonar a quien te mata.
Santa Orosia muere por odio a la fe. Santa Orosia no se resistió al martirio. Y Santa Orosia perdonó a sus verdugos.
Dicen que Dios debe dar mucha fuerza a sus mártires, porque todos superan alegremente el trance y todos cuentan con un valor que desarma a sus perseguidores.
Sin embargo dicen que es más difícil mantener la fe en tiempos adversos y en sociedades como la nuestra en la que se ha arrinconado a Dios y que, por tanto, quien mantiene viva la llama de la fe en tiempos como el nuestro y en sociedades como al que vivimos, tiene un mérito similar dl martirio, porque no lo olvidemos, tanto la fe como el valor del martirio son dones der Dios, no tanto ya un esfuerzo nuestro.
Nuestro mundo es plural y tolerante y es difícil que nos toque ser mártires al estilo de Santa Orosia, pero sí que nos toca guardar encendida y viva la llama de la fe y no es fácil.
Pidamos a Santa Orosia que nos apoye, nos acompañe y nos ilumine en este empeño.
Ruega por nosotros Virgen y Mártir Orosia, para que seamos dignos de las promesas de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
