Sí; vigilemos. ¿Por qué? Porque necesitamos de una palabra de aliento. Porque, el mundo, este mundo que tocamos con las yemas de nuestras manos; que amamos y que a la vez odiamos; este mundo tan necesitado de paz, como tan lleno de contiendas, necesita de buenos vigilantes. Hombres y mujeres que, más allá del día a día, entre los rascacielos del puro y duro sensacionalismo o materialismo, levanten su cabeza y esperen. Sí; esperen a un Dios que viene a salvarnos.
¿Salvarnos? ¿Salvarnos de qué? De mucho, amigos, de mucho. Hay muchas cosas y acontecimientos que atragantan nuestra felicidad. Vemos que este “gran castillo del bienestar que nos hemos montado” se tambalea y nos produce ansiedad, corrupción, mentiras e inestabilidad
Dios que sale a nuestro encuentro. Dios que, en la Navidad, se hará pequeño, mientras que el hombre se empeña en hacerse grande. Dios que, en Jesús, se dejará abrazar, amar, tocar, besar, adorar. ¡Bienvenido, Adviento! Entra por las ventanas y balcones de nuestros corazones. Vivamos, amigos, este tiempo de esperanza; semanas de espera y horas de tensión. ¡Qué va a venir el Señor! No podemos bajar la guardia; no podemos bajarnos del torreón de nuestra fe por el simple hecho de que nos digan que, en el llano, se vive mejor sin Dios.
Adviento. Lo necesitamos. ¡Qué déficit de esperanza el nuestro! Viene el Señor, porque nos ve vacíos. Cuántas estrellas que iluminan las calles y, los que las han puesto, no saben ni por qué ni por quién. Adviento. ¡Bienvenido seas! ¡Qué ganas tenemos de un Niño que nos reúna en torno a la mesa y nos haga pensar que, el mundo, aún tiene solución! Adviento. Es el Señor, que llega. Prepárate…es Dios quien llega en persona.
