II DOMINGO ORDINARIO. AÑO B
Comenzamos el tiempo litúrgico corriente, ordinario. Nos va a llevar detrás de Jesús, en su vida pública. Y hablamos de encontrar a Jesús, porque refleja el contenido del Evangelio de hoy y porque es el objetivo de toda la Liturgia: encontrarnos con Jesús, querer vivir con Él y darlo a conocer.
En este pasaje de hoy descubrimos un itinerario, que es bueno para toda la vida cristiana:
- Que alguien me dé a conocer a Jesús.
"Juan... fijándose en Jesús que pasaba, dijo: Este es el Cordero de Dios".
Dice San Pablo que la fe viene por el oído (Rom. 10, 14). Creemos en Jesús porque alguien nos habló de Él. La fe es el puente que une la orilla del Jesús que vivió y el Jesús que hoy vive entre nosotros. La Iglesia me dio esta fe. Esa Iglesia es mi familia, la parroquia, la escuela, algún amigo...
Pero seguimos necesitando que alguien nos siga descubriendo la huella de Jesús. Esto sucede en el encuentro del Domingo, en la reflexión teológica, en la lectura... Cuando alguien dice que no es "cristiano practicante", quiere decir que no usa el puente de la Iglesia. Y así es muy difícil encontrarse con Jesús.
- Que yo quiera ser un seguidor suyo.
"Los discípulos oyeron sus palabras y siguieron a Jesús... Se volvió y les preguntó: ¿Qué buscáis?"
Los bautizados comenzamos a ser cristianos, cuando nos reconocemos como discípulos de Jesús. Sus seguidores. Él es maestro, luz, vida, camino. El cristiano quiere poner sus pies en las huellas del Señor. Vivir como Él, caminar con Él y como Él. Cada día se empeña en conocerlo un poco mejor.
Hay una identificación interior. "¡Cristo vive en mí! Me viene de la riqueza de los sacramentos. Hay un querer parecerme, cada día más a Jesús, querer ser como Él. Vivir en mi persona, lo que Jesús hubiera vivido si ocupara hoy mi puesto en la vida.
- Que lo busque con inquietud. Él entre de lleno en mi vida.
"Maestro, ¿dónde vives?. Venid y lo veréis... se quedaron con Él". Jesús no es una asignatura que se aprende y todo termina. Es una sabiduría que nunca se termina de saber y saborear. Una fuente que nunca se agota. Una amistad que siempre nos sorprende.
Pablo preguntó: Señor, ¿quién eres?. ¿Qué quieres que haga?". Y el cristiano es un buscador, que nunca está satisfecho. A veces, ser seguidor es duro, porque son fuertes sus exigencias. Pero compensa con creces. Decimos como San Pedro. "¿A quién iremos? Tú tienes palabras de vida eterna" (Jn. 6, 68).
El cristiano va descubriendo que la fe es diálogo, amistad, apoyo.
Otro camina con él.
La oración en intimidad es necesaria para conocer a Jesús y que Él llene nuestra vida.
- Que lo sepa dar a conocer.
“Hemos encontrado al Mesías. Y lo llevó a Jesús". Todo cristiano es invitado por Jesús a ser "luz del mundo y sal de la tierra". Es imposible que uno que tiene fe en Jesús, no lo dé a conocer.
La fe siempre ha ido por ese camino de la comunicación. De boca a boca. 'hemos conocido al Mesías". Andrés se lo dijo a Pedro... Y así se fue haciendo cadena.
También hoy, Jesús es conocido, porque alguien lo da a conocer. De la esencia del cristiano es irradiar su fe. Algunos se empeñan en que la fe es asunto privado. Que se vive en el corazón y basta. Pero eso no lo dijo Jesús. Fue su último encargo: "id al mundo entero y anunciad el Evangelio".
