DOMINGO DE LA PALABRA DE DIOS
Queridos hermanos en el Señor:
Os deseo gracia y paz.
El 30 de septiembre de 2019, el Papa Francisco estableció en la Carta apostólica Aperuit illis “que el III Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario se dedique a la celebración, reflexión y divulgación de la Palabra de Dios” (nº 3).
El Papa instituyó un domingo para que repercuta en todo el año: “El día dedicado a la Biblia no ha de ser "una vez al año", sino una vez para todo el año” (nº 8).
El Papa expresaba un deseo: “Que el domingo dedicado a la Palabra haga crecer en el pueblo de Dios la familiaridad religiosa y asidua con la Sagrada Escritura, como el autor sagrado lo enseñaba ya en tiempos antiguos: esta Palabra "está muy cerca de ti: en tu corazón y en tu boca, para que la cumplas" (Dt 30,14)” (nº 15).
La Palabra de Dios ha sido inspirada por el Espíritu Santo; se ha transmitido en la Tradición de la Iglesia a lo largo de los siglos; es proclamada, celebrada y orada en la asamblea litúrgica; es vivida en la comunidad eclesial; es interpretada por el Magisterio; es testimoniada en la vida de los santos; es profundizada en el estudio teológico; es escuchada y saboreada en el silencio de los monasterios, en las comunidades de personas consagradas y en la sencillez de cada hogar cristiano; encuentra un eco peculiar en la catequesis; es aplicada en todos los ámbitos de la pastoral; constituye el fundamento de la misión; hace fecunda la acción socio-caritativa; “se manifiesta en los genuinos valores religiosos y morales que, como semillas de la Palabra, están esparcidos en la sociedad humana y en las diversas culturas” (Directorio General para la Catequesis, 95).
Benedicto XVI escribió en la Exhortación apostólica Verbum Domini: “La Iglesia se funda sobre la Palabra de Dios, nace y vive de ella. A lo largo de toda su historia, el Pueblo de Dios ha encontrado siempre en ella su fuerza, y la comunidad eclesial crece también hoy en la escucha, en la celebración y en el estudio de la Palabra de Dios” (nº 3). Y añadió: “La novedad de la revelación bíblica consiste en que Dios se da a conocer en el diálogo que desea tener con nosotros” (nº 6).
Que la Virgen María nos acompañe en este domingo con el ejemplo de su vida y su constante intercesión, para que nuestros oídos estén siempre abiertos para escuchar la Palabra de Dios, meditarla y saborearla, anunciarla, celebrarla y vivirla cada día.
