HOMILÍA
Muy unida a la fiesta de la Navidad, celebramos, en este domingo, el Día de la Sagrada Familia. Ya sabemos que, el Jesús que nace en Belén, nace rodeado del amor y del cariño de una familia que le arropará, que cuidará de él, que le defenderá, que le educará, que le enseñará a desenvolverse en la vida y que sembrará, en su corazón, el sentido de lo religioso, esa relación entrañable con el Padre Dios. A la sombra de María y de José, Jesús aprenderá todo lo que necesita. Su vida pública no se entendería sin una referencia expresa a quienes, en esta tierra, cuidaron de él con especial esmero.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro del Eclesiástico. Hemos escuchado palabras que urgen a los más jóvenes a cuidar y a atender a los padres y a las personas mayores. Es justo corresponder con amor al amor con el que todos fuimos tratados por nuestros padres. Cuando el paso de los años les ha mermado las fuerzas, la memoria, la movilidad de sus miembros, la agilidad de su mente, es bueno que todos estemos allí dispuestos a compensar lo a que a ellos les falta. Nos lo dieron todo, lo hicieron lo mejor que pudieron. Acompañémosles.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los Colosenses, nos ha recordado que nuestra familia no son solo los padres. También están los hermanos y todos esos familiares con quienes nos une la sangre y el afecto familiar. Tratemos de querernos cada día más y mejor. Dios nos los puso a nuestro lado para que la vida fuera más feliz. No les olvidemos.
El relato del evangelio de Lucas nos ha recordado el episodio en el que Jesús, al cumplir los doce años, acude al templo de Jerusalén. Allí se pierde, llenando de angustia el corazón de sus padres. Cuando al fin le encuentran, la alegría volverá a sus vidas. A partir de entonces, Jesús crecerá y se hará un joven y adulto antes de emprender su vida pública.
