A menudo, como señala el Papa Francisco en la Evangelii Gaudium, en nuestros proyectos pastorales formulamos objetivos ambiciosos sin una adecuada búsqueda comunitaria de los medios para alcanzarlos. Al final todo se queda en mera fantasía, en palabras y sentimientos, que dejan las cosas como están. Así resume Jesús la historia de los dirigentes del pueblo de Israel, a los que tantas veces los profetas habían exhortado a convertirse y hacer el bien (Mt 21,28–32).
Los profetas son conscientes de que con nuestras acciones decidimos nuestro destino eterno. Los oyentes prefieren seguir anclados en las seguridades que da el ser miembros del pueblo elegido y critican a Dios, que ha hecho que cada uno sea artífice de su propia persona (Ez 18,25–28).
La fe cristiana es ante todo un encuentro con Cristo y no una ideología o una doctrina teórica. La fe es un puro espejismo si no actúa a través del amor. Lo que no se traduce en la vida no cuenta. Son las decisiones y las acciones las que cambian la realidad. Sin duda que las acciones son fruto de un pensar y un desear. A través de la parábola de los dos hijos se pone al descubierto la vida del hombre. El primero da buenas palabras a su padre, pero no hace lo que el padre quiere. El segundo empieza con una negativa pero al final hace lo que el padre le manda. Sólo él ha hecho lo que el padre quería.
Es verdad que a nosotros nos queda la sospecha de si su obediencia fue un mero hacer externo, una pura sumisión o si verdaderamente entró en el corazón del padre para querer lo que el padre quería. El evangelio da por supuesto que, si hizo lo que el padre mandaba, éste estaba contento de su hijo. De lo contrario habría sido una desobediencia deshumanizadora de simple imposición del más fuerte. No es eso lo que el padre quería. El padre quiere que el hijo se dé cuenta de que está buscando su bien y de que actúe en consecuencia por amor y no por temor al padre.
Sin duda que la verdadera obediencia aparece tan sólo realizada en la persona de Jesús. Por amor y obediencia al Padre, Jesús se encarna para realizar el proyecto divino de salvar a los hombres. Jesús, que era Dios, en vez de vivir como Dios, optó por vivir como un hombre cualquiera, pobre y humilde. Sobre todo aceptó por los demás la muerte más deshonrosa, típica de un esclavo, la muerte de cruz (Filp 2,1–11).
La comunión de vida, de sentimientos y pensamientos entre Cristo y el Padre es total. La obediencia de Jesús es una expresión de su amor filial al Padre. No es simple realización externa de lo mandado sino que entra en una comunión de pensamientos y sentimientos y descubre que el Padre quiere siempre lo mejor para él.
Nuestra obediencia muchas veces está hecha de buenas palabras, de rechazos y de aceptaciones, pues estamos marcados por el pecado. Pidamos en esta eucaristía entrar en la obediencia de Cristo para hacer la voluntad del Padre siempre con alegría.
