1. ¿Qué es la Infancia Misionera?
La Obra de Infancia Misionera es una institución de la Iglesia universal para promover la ayuda recíproca entre los niños del mundo. Miles de niños de los cinco continentes participan en esta Obra Pontificia, que tiene como lema "Los niños ayudan a los niños."
2. ¿Cómo nació?
Nació en Francia el año 1834, por iniciativa del obispo francés Forbín-Janson, que invitó a los niños de su diócesis a colaborar con otros niños de China. La Obra se fue extendiendo por el mundo. La Reina Isabel II la inició en España en 1852.
3. ¿Qué proyectos subvenciona?
Esta Obra subvenciona proyectos sociales, educativos y pastorales que tienen comó únicos destinatarios a los niños que son víctimas del hambre y la enfermedad, que sufren las consecuencias de las guerras, y que son explotados en trabajos impropios de niños o en la prostitución...
4. ¿Cómo colaborar?
Los primeros colaboradores son los niños que entregan generosamente su donativos para ayudar a los pobres y necesitados. A través de ellos lo hacen las personas mayores especialmente sus padres y familiares, sus educadores y tutores, y quien se siente solidario con los más pequeños y vulnerables.
5. ¿Cuándo se celebra?
El cuarto domingo de enero. Pero durante todo el año se realizan muchas actividades para los niños: comenzamos con la 'Jornada de Sembradores de Estrellas', antes de Navidad, y se continúa durante el curso hasta la celebración del 'Festival de la Canción Misionera' a comienzos de mayo.
6. ¿Cómo se puede participar?
En la parroquia o en el colegio suele haber grupos de niños de Infancia Misionera que se reúnen y participan en todas las actividades que a lo largo del curso se realizan. Además disponemos de numerosos materiales educativos para que los niños crezcan con espíritu misionero.
