12 OCTUBRE. NUESTRA SEÑORA DEL PILAR
Un breve evangelio para festejar una gran fiesta. Hoy domingo 12 de octubre celebramos a la Virgen María, nuestra Señora del Pilar. Y la liturgia nos propone para este domingo un texto del evangelio de Lucas; es precisamente en este evangelio donde encontramos más tradiciones que hacen referencia a la Virgen María y que no encontramos en ningún otro evangelio.
No encontramos ni marco cronológico ni geográfico. No sabemos dónde ni cuándo se desarrolla esta escena. No es necesario, lo más importante son las palabras. Los personajes son tres: Jesús, una mujer anónima y un personaje colectivo que no interviene en la escena pero que es testigo de las palabras que se cruzan los dos personajes principales: la multitud.
Jesús está enseñando y la mujer interrumpe su discurso. Quizá lo que llevaba dentro era muy importante y no podía callarlo mucho tiempo. La mujer alaba directamente no a Jesús, sino a su madre, María. Quizá está mujer pensó que esta persona tan admirable que estaban todos escuchando fue posible y resultó así gracias a todo lo que su madre hizo por Él. Un hijo se entiende mejor conociendo a su madre. Eso pasa también entre nosotros, hoy día.
La alabanza no había sido para Jesús y esta mujer le había interrumpido. En la respuesta de Jesús no encontramos ningún reproche hacia esta buena mujer. Pero tampoco encontramos la respuesta que, humanamente, esperaríamos. Jesús aprovecha las palabras de esta mujer para establecer claramente cuál es la verdadera bienaventuranza. La dicha mayor está en aquellos que escuchan la Palabra de Dios y la cumplen. En otro pasaje de Lucas muy parecido al de este domingo (Lc 8,19–21) Jesús añadirá que éstos son su verdadera familia. Para ser familia de Jesús ya no se trata de ser consanguíneo con Él sino de escuchar y cumplir su Palabra. A lo mejor hubiéramos esperado de parte de Jesús: “Sí, así sea, dichosa sea mi Madre”. Pero aunque no lo parezca en un primer momento, en una lectura serena y comparándola con lo que el resto de los evangelios nos dicen de María, podemos concluir que Jesús va más allá y dirige a su madre un cumplido mucho mayor. Madres entregadas a sus hijos seguro que hubo muchas en Israel, como las hay hoy, afortunadamente. Pero madre que escuchara la Palabra de Dios y se fiara de ella hasta el extremo y la pusiera por obra en su vida con total disponibilidad….mujer como esa, sólo hubo una: María. Precisamente, la madre de Jesús. Esta realidad es mucho mejor que un cumplido meramente humano. Así Jesús nos propone y nos ofrece a su madre María como ejemplo a seguir para alcanzar la dicha, la felicidad, la bienaventuranza.
Jesús nos ha señalado la grandeza de su madre ante los ojos de Dios. Sí, ella es la primera creyente. Santa María, nuestra señora del Pilar, ruega por nosotros ahora y en la hora de nuestra muerte. Amén.
