LLAMADOS A LA VIDA
Queridos amigos:
Cada día podemos leer muchas páginas de nuestro mundo actual manchadas por el dolor, la división, la guerra…; además escuchamos otras muchas noticias que nos entristecen. Fácilmente podemos caer en la negrura o el pesimismo.
Pero el Señor, Dios de la Vida, nos llama por medio del profeta Isaías, y nos dice: “¡No recordéis lo de antaño… mirad que realizo algo nuevo!” (Is 43,18). Este mensaje que ya se anunciaba en el Antiguo Testamento, llega a su plenitud cuando Jesucristo Resucitado atraviesa las puertas cerradas de nuestros miedos e inseguridades para traernos un mensaje de Vida, invitándonos a unirnos a Él en el camino de nuestra propia existencia.
Estamos llamados a ir a Él que nos ofrece Vida, y a escuchar su voz, permitiendo que Dios reconstruya en nosotros la confianza, la seguridad en su amor, la ilusión por un mundo mejor. Sólo si vamos a Él sabremos en qué manos estamos: vivimos englobados en el misterio de la resurrección de Cristo. No hay nadie que no esté incluido en ese destino último de vida plena.
Creer y adherirse a Cristo Resucitado es una invitación a reemplazar:
- La angustia de la muerte por la certeza de la resurrección. Si Cristo ha resucitado, la muerte no tiene la última palabra. Podemos vivir con confianza. Podemos avanzar sin caer en la tristeza, sin hundirnos en la soledad y el pesimismo.
- La fragilidad de la carne, la enfermedad, el hambre y el horror de las guerras y las divisiones, por la confianza en la victoria final de la vida. Dentro de nuestro corazón llevamos la alegría de la resurrección.
- La persecución de muchos hermanos nuestros que mueren a causa de la fe, por el respeto, el diálogo y la fraternidad en la convivencia humana.
- Una sociedad marcada por el materialismo y los intereses consumistas, por la gracia de Cristo muerto y resucitado, para que haga que los cristianos seamos “brotes de otra humanidad”, en la cual seamos servidores de los más necesitados. Quien lleva el amor y la justicia no necesita de la violencia, sino vivir, hablar y trabajar con la fuerza de la verdad, de la belleza y del amor.
La confianza en la victoria final de la vida no nos vuelve insensibles. Al contrario, nos hace sufrir con quien sufre, pero llevando dentro de nuestro corazón la alegría de la resurrección que nos ayuda a enfrentarnos a tanta insensatez que arranca a las personas la dignidad, la alegría y la vida.
Que cada mañana cuando nos levantemos leamos páginas en las que descubramos que algo nuevo ha ocurrido. Que la seguridad de la resurrección de Jesucristo nos haga contemplar la sonrisa de un niño, la noticia de personas que se entregan por otros, ¡y tantas otras!, como signos de la verdadera vida a la que estamos llamados.
