SOLEMNIDAD DE CRISTO REY
El Señor es claro y a la pregunta de Pilato responde “tú lo dices: soy rey”. Pero inmediatamente añade unas consideraciones que, a primera vista, desconciertan: “Yo para esto he nacido y para esto he venido al mundo; para ser testigo de la verdad”. ¡La misión del rey es ser testigo de la verdad! Mártir de la verdad… Intentemos pensar en la verdad o, lo que es lo mismo, pensar en cristiano.
Verdad es que “mi reino no es de este mundo” y que Jesús nos ha dicho “no sois del mundo como yo tampoco soy del mundo”. También es verdad que ha orado a su Padre para que “no los retires del mundo, sino para que los guardes del mal”. Si somos del Reino de Dios, no podemos ser de la ciudad terrena, aunque vivamos en ella. Los que somos de Cristo por el bautismo, aunque seamos descendencia de Adán, hemos sido recreados y en esta recreación/regeneración lo que realmente somos es familia de Dios.
Verdad es que Jesús nos ha enseñado a orar diciendo “venga a nosotros tu reino”. Si rezamos así es porque en nuestra vida no todo es reinado de Dios, todavía hay pecado y muerte. Lo mismo pasa en la iglesia y lo mismo pasa en la sociedad. Mientras recorremos los senderos de la historia, siempre habrá cizaña y siempre será necesario que mortifiquemos “todo lo terreno que hay en nosotros”. La oración de Jesús es una oración realista al cien por cien. Y rezarla bien y muchas veces es también realista cien por cien. Y además de realista nos sitúa ante la realidad de un mundo que necesita urgentemente que el amor de Dios se derrame en nuestros corazones y en los de todos y cada uno de las personas que formamos parte de la humanidad. Nosotros, católicos aspirantes a santos, sabemos que ese amor vive en nuestros corazones por el Espíritu Santo. Lo que no debemos obviar es que ese mismo amor muchas veces llega a la humanidad a través de nuestros corazones de hijos, de nuestros corazones de hermanos, de nuestro apostolado.
La verdad del amor es la verdad de la misericordia. Una verdad que pasa por el “perdónales porque no saben lo que hacen”. La Madre del Rey –Madre del Amor Hermoso– es la mejor ciudadana de este reino que no es de este mundo.
