HOMILÍA
Las lecturas del cuarto domingo del tiempo ordinario se han escuchado en nuestra asamblea, en un día en el que, como manda la tradición, hacemos memoria de San Blas, el obispo mártir, el curador y sanador de tantas enfermedades, el abogado y protector al que es posible acudir en demanda de ayuda y protección. Unas lecturas, cuyo mensaje, nos abre las puertas de algo que estamos llamados a vivir en esta próxima semana: el día 8, viernes, será el Día del Ayuno Voluntario al que nos invita Manos Unidas, Campaña contra el Hambre, para tomar conciencia de la situación de pobreza en la que viven tantos hermanos nuestros, lejos y cerca de nosotros Y el día 10, domingo, se realizará la colecta de la Campaña contra el Hambre. Nuestra Diócesis de Jaca financiará dos proyectos de desarrollo: uno en la India, en Asia, y otro en la República Democrática del Congo, en África.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Jeremías. Un buen día, siente la llamada de Dios que le impulsa a tomar la palabra, a denunciar las injusticias y a ser presencia viva del amor de este Dios en medio de su pueblo. Pero siente miedo, sabe que su tarea va a ser difícil, que va a tener oposición dura y violenta. Su misma vida puede estar en peligro, si cumple su misión con fidelidad. Pero también sabe que Dios estará con él, que no le abandonará. También hoy el Señor sigue llamando a unos y a otros para ser profetas, para ser testigos de su amor ; para hacer posible un mundo mejor, en el que las relaciones entre los seres humanos esté basada en la solidaridad, en el compartir. Preguntémonos si nosotros mismos no estaremos siendo llamados.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los cristianos de Corinto, nos ha hablado de la importancia que los seguidores de Jesús hemos de dar al amor. Un amor que es mucho más grande que todos los dones y cualidades que podamos poseer. Un amor que permanecerá cuando todo lo demás llegue a desaparecer. No lo olvidemos: Jesús quería que el amor a todos, amigos y enemigos, fuera nuestro signo distintivo. La Colecta de la Campaña contra el Hambre del próximo domingo nos dará la oportunidad de medir la grandeza o pequeñez de nuestro amor.
El relato del evangelio de San Lucas es la continuación del que escuchamos el domingo pasado en el que, recordamos, Jesús se atribuyó a sí mismo un texto que él mismo había proclamado del profeta Isaías. La escena, sin embargo, como hemos visto, no termina bien. Jesús, como Jeremías, empieza a sentir la oposición violenta de algunos. Como no era momento de su pasión y de su muerte, el texto acaba diciéndonos que “Jesús se abrió paso entre ellos y se alejaba”. Poco a poco, al entusiasmo y a la adhesión de muchos, se unirá también el rechazo violento de otros que, con el paso del tiempo, le llevará a la Cruz.
