(Jn 4,5-42. ) El tema esencial del evangelio de hoy es: Jesús es el agua de la vida; en un lugar desértico, el agua es la vida misma. Cristo es para nosotros esa agua que nos lava, refresca, regenera y da la nueva vida.
Si nos fijamos en la conversación con la samaritana, podremos observar el proceso de conversión de una persona: en los primeros momentos se extraña del encuentro con Jesús y de que él le pidiera agua; poco a poco, ese diálogo se convierte en conocimiento más interior.
La samaritana va pasando de menos a más en el conocimiento y confesión acerca de Jesús, y termina convirtiéndose en testigo-apóstol ante sus conciudadanos. La samaritana conoce a Jesús, ve en Él algo especial que necesita comunicar a los demás.
Jesús también se salta todas las normas rabínicas, hablando con una mujer en un lugar público; para mayor problema, esa mujer era samaritana; Él únicamente ve en esa mujer su condición de persona y su categoría de hija de Dios, y nada más. No mira el lugar donde da culto a Dios, ni su pasado; mira el fondo de su corazón.
Un verdadero proceso catequético del cual tenemos mucho que aprender; un proceso basado en el encuentro con Jesús, nada de normas, libros o conocimientos científicos; una conversión radical del corazón tras ese encuentro con Jesús.
Un verdadero bautismo que purifica la vida y que te confiere la fuerza necesaria para ser testigo y anunciarlo a los demás. Y lo mejor de todo es que Jesús no escogió para esta conversión a ningún fariseo o saduceo, sino a una mujer, y además samaritana. Aprendamos
