II Domingo de Adviento. Ciclo B (Mc 1,1-8.)
Una buena noticia anunciada por Jesús, el Hijo de Dios: así comienza Marcos su evangelio; no se trata de un anuncio distinto y diferente a lo proclamado por los profetas en el Antiguo Testamento, sino la plenitud hecha carne, la Palabra ratificada por Dios, la obra de la salvación realizada en Jesús, el Ungido, el Hijo de Dios.
Podríamos incluso decir que para Marcos sólo hay un evangelio, una buena noticia; y esa buena noticia es que Jesús ya está entre nosotros; incluso afirmaríamos que esa buena noticia es Jesús el Cristo, el Hijo de Dios. Todo un título programático para su narración de los hechos.
Y lo primero que aparece en este evangelio es el anuncio del precursor Juan; cumpliendo lo ya anunciado por el profeta Isaías, el Bautista proclama un rito de purificación y de preparación: su llamada a la conversión, al cambio de vida; pero no ponía énfasis en que le creyeran a él, en que escucharan sus palabras; porque detrás de él venía el Esperado desde antiguo.
La voz que proviene del desierto invitaba a la llegada inminente del Mesías; el tiempo se había cumplido, todo estaba preparado, el Antiguo Testamento había cumplido su misión; ahora era el tiempo de la gracia y de la salvación, de la buena noticia; y para eso Juan bautizaba: para que la gente reconociera sus pecados, convirtieran su vida y aceptaran al Ungido.
Descubrir el camino del Señor; quizá a esto nos llama hoy día el precursor; muchos otros han allanado el camino y nos han preparado para saber quién es Jesús; ahora a nosotros nos toca distinguir sus huellas, descubrir por dónde camina ese Mesías, vislumbrar la senda que Él está caminando y seguirlo.
Un verdadero discípulo es quien va detrás de su maestro, escuchando su voz y siguiendo sus consejos; Jesús es una Buena Noticia, es la Salvación hecha carne; ni siquiera somos dignos de desatarle tampoco nosotros las sandalias; pero sí hemos sido llamados a seguirle. Juan lo proclamó ya próximo entre los hombres y realizaba un rito de purificación preparatorio para su venida. Ahora a nosotros nos ha tocado vivir este tiempo de gracia para disponer nuestro corazón y nuestro espíritu en la acogida del Mesías, para abrir nuestros ojos y saber reconocerle en cada circunstancia de nuestra vida.
Realizar en este tiempo el camino del adviento es preparar nuestro corazón para el bautismo en el Espíritu Santo que Jesús nos tiene preparados; una luz y una fuerza santificadora que hará de nosotros testigos creíbles del evangelio.
