SEXTO DOMINGO DE PASCUA
( Jn 14,15-21.) La promesa de Jesús “yo estaré con vosotros todos los días hasta el fin del mundo” queda reflejada en el evangelio que leemos este domingo. Nos enviará un defensor que permanecerá siempre a nuestro lado, que nos guiará y nos impulsará a ser testigos de su Buena Noticia.
Los comienzos de la Iglesia no fueron fáciles. De una forma o de otra, siempre ha sido difícil la fidelidad al mensaje del Resucitado. Y más a los primeros discípulos que tuvieron que derramar su sangre por ser coherentes con ese Espíritu que es la Verdad.
La Iglesia siempre vive en contraste con los planteamientos del mundo, que busca otros objetivos y camina con otros criterios. «El mundo no puede recibirlo, porque no lo ve ni lo conoce». Pero nosotros sí hemos recibido un Don, un Regalo, con mayúsculas; recibimos el Don del Espíritu Santo para ser evangelizadores de nuestra sociedad.
No estamos dejados de la mano de Dios, todo lo contrario; no nos sentimos huérfanos, sino guiados en el camino de nuestra vida. Los primeros discípulos encontraron en estas palabras un consuelo y una seguridad: el consuelo y la fortaleza de sentirse apoyados por la presencia del Espíritu y la seguridad de que lo que hacían, su predicación y su misión, no eran propiedad suya, sino del mismo Jesucristo
El Espíritu de la Pascua, el Espíritu del Resucitado, hace constantemente presente a Jesús en medio de la comunidad eclesial; y es el Espíritu quien da continuidad y consistencia a la obra del Reino en medio del mundo. El Espíritu de Pentecostés es la garantía de que Jesús vive.
Y el Espíritu es la garantía de que nosotros podemos vivir la vida del Evangelio. El Espíritu que Jesús nos da hace que vivamos el mandamiento del amor, y que vivamos la comuni6n con Dios y con el Resucitado.
El Espíritu que nos da la fuerza para amar a Jesús, para conocerlo y predicarlo a los demás; no nos sentimos huérfanos; todo lo contrario; nos sentimos refugiados en las alas del Espíritu que vive en medio de nosotros y que sigue actuando a través de muchos cristianos.
Sólo nos queda ya no olvidarnos del mandamiento del amor; porque vivir en plenitud esa nueva Ley, es tener también la certeza de que Cristo se nos revelará a nosotros, como leemos al final del evangelio.
