La campaña de la Renta 2013 invita a los contribuyentes a marcar la X a favor de la Iglesia en la Declaración de la Renta. Como cada año, el Secretariado para el Sostenimiento de la Iglesia de la Conferencia Episcopal Española(CEE) anima a los católicos y a todas las personas que aprecian la labor de la Iglesia a marcar la X, en esta ocasión con el lema “La IGLESIA con TODOS; por una sociedad mejor”.
9,1 millones de declarantes asignaron a favor de la Iglesia
En el último Ejercicio, correspondiente al IRPF 2011 (Campaña de la Renta 2012) un total de 7.357.037 declaraciones fueron a favor de la Iglesia Católica, lo que supone que la cantidad total recaudada por Asignación Tributaria fue de 247,1 millones de euros. Teniendo en cuenta que el 23,24% de las declaraciones son conjuntas, se puede estimar que en torno a 9,1 millones de declarantes asignaron a favor de la Iglesia, un millón más de los que asignaban en el año 2007.
Desde 2008, el sostenimiento de la Iglesia depende exclusivamente de los católicos y de todas aquellas personas que reconocen la labor de la Iglesia. Quienes libremente quieran hacerlo, pueden marcar la casilla de la Iglesia Católica en su Declaración. Un 0,7 por ciento de sus impuestos se dedicará así, sin coste adicional para el contribuyente, a la ingente labor que la Iglesia desarrolla. Es compatible con marcar la casilla llamada “Fines sociales”. El Estado dedicará entonces un 0,7% a esos “fines” y un 0,7% a la Iglesia.
Marcar la X a favor de la Iglesia es un gesto sencillo. No le supone a nadie ni pagar más, ni que le devuelvan menos. No cuesta nada y, sin embargo, rinde mucho, porque con él se contribuye a que la Iglesia pueda seguir trabajando, con todos, por una sociedad mejor.
