DOMINGO XXVII TIEMPO ORDINARIO
(Mt 21,33-43) Partiendo de la simbología bíblica de la viña, Jesús hace ahora su discurso ante los senadores y los sumos sacerdotes del pueblo escogido. Hablar de viña es traer a la mente muchas ilustraciones y lecciones espirituales a los profetas y maestros de los tiempos bíblicos.
Vivir a la sombra de la propia higuera o de la viña era símbolo de alegría, paz y abundancia. También se comparaba a Israel con una viña que había sido transplantada desde Egipto. Incluso se decía que los judíos rebeldes eran como una vid de buena clase que se había echado a perder.
Para los hebreos, una viña se contaba entre sus posesiones más preciadas, y la promesa de que dispondrían para siempre de los frutos de la vid era un símbolo de seguridad, prosperidad y recompensa.
Sabiendo esto, era normal que a los oyentes este ejemplo de Jesús les resultara familiar, puesto que lo habían leído en multitud de ocasiones en sus textos bíblicos. Pero hasta el final no van a darse cuenta de la enseñanza que les proponía.
Durante mucho tiempo habían surgido profetas, hombres que hablaban de parte de Dios para llamar al pueblo a la conversión; por medio de gestos, de vidas curiosas, de lamentaciones, de proverbios… Dios les llamaba a la conversión, al cambio de vida, a saber recibir el verdadero mensaje y la renovación de la alianza hecha desde la creación.
Todos habían ido cayendo, ninguno fue escuchado; al contrario, tomados por locos, o tachados de herejes, eran expulsados del pueblo, porque las palabras del profeta eran molestas. Pero una vez más, y en su gran misericordia, Dios quiso enviar a su propio Hijo, pensando que a éste sí lo respetarían.
Jesús veía venir también su destino; es necesario que el hijo del hombre suba a Jerusalén para ser condenado por sumos sacerdotes y al tercer día resucitar. Y sus palabras iban calando en aquellos que serían sus futuros ejecutores. La piedra que desecharon los arquitectos es ahora la piedra que da consistencia y la más importante.
Nosotros somos también herederos de la viña; hemos recibido mucho, más de lo que merecíamos; se nos ha anunciado el Reino de Dios y su semilla ha sido sembrada ya en nuestro mundo. Nuestros cuidados harán que fructifique. O tal vez seamos de aquellos empleados malvados que iban desautorizado a los profetas y mataron al Hijo único.
