DOMINGO 33 TIEMPO ORDINARIO
(Mt 25,14-30) A la hora de describirnos o presentarnos a los demás, pocas veces nos fijamos en los talentos que hemos recibido; en primer lugar nos cuesta decir cómo somos, quizá porque no somos consciente de todas nuestras posibilidades; en segundo lugar porque parece como una falsa modestia decir que tenemos virtudes y muchas cualidades.
Las palabras que hoy nos dirige Jesús pueden hacernos recordar lo mucho que hemos recibido, la enorme variedad de cualidades que poseemos, los muchos talentos recibidos gratuitamente, y lo poco que los hemos explotado.
Nos podemos identificar con los personajes del evangelio a quienes el Señor pide cuentas por los bienes que les confió. El problema radica en las dificultades con que nos encontramos para descubrir, valorar y administrar correctamente estos bienes que el Señor distribuye generosamente. Porque seamos realistas, hemos recibido mucho, más de lo que merecíamos.
Analizar en nuestras propias vidas los dones que hemos recibido de Dios debe ser una tarea no de vanagloria, sino de exigencia; porque asemejarnos a los que recibieron muchos talentos implica dar mucho fruto. Dios nos ha elegido a unos maestros, a otros doctores, a otros profetas… como recuerda muy bien San Pablo; cada uno dotado de unos carismas y unos dones, propios del Espíritu Santo, que nos hacen distintos de los demás y necesarios para la comunidad cristiana.
Somos parte del Cuerpo de Cristo, que es su Iglesia; y nadie es más importante que nadie; pero cada cual debe aportar sus talentos para el bien de todos; esa es la mejor comunicación de bienes que podemos realizar. Tal vez somos de ese segundo grupo que no destacamos por nuestras muchas capacidades, pero sí hemos sido aderezados con unas virtudes específicas.
¡Quién sabe! Quizá sólo recibimos un talento del Señor; pero no podemos ser tacaños ni tener miedo; todo lo contrario; lo poco que hemos recibido o lo mucho, hemos de explotarlo al máximo, sacarle nuestro máximo partido, para que todos se beneficien de lo que no es nuestro pero sí administramos.
Tenemos talentos; muchos talentos, más de lo que en principio podemos imaginar; pero no los escondamos en un baúl de recuerdos ni los quedemos para nosotros mismos; el Señor nos pedirá cuenta de lo que hemos utilizado y si lo hemos hecho para el bien de todos.
