Todos estos servicios que lleva a cabo CÁRITAS son posibles gracias al inestimable compromiso y dedicación de los aproximadamente cien voluntarios que ponen su buena voluntad a disposición de los demás.
Para nosotros, los voluntarios, este año ha sido un desafío responder con rapidez a las necesidades que se observan en nuestro pueblo, un año de faena. Estamos animados y, claro está, necesitados del Pan de la Eucaristía, de donde viene nuestro aliento.
En este año hemos visto mucha generosidad por parte de la comunidad católica y de la sociedad de Sabiñánigo. En total y por todos los conceptos se han donado a CARITAS 18.433 euros, mas un ático de 47 metros cuadrados. Dinero de hogares de Sabiñánigo, compartido con otros hogares de Sabiñánigo, en un ambiente de convivencia pacífica entre las diversas sensibilidades de nuestra sociedad.
Está de moda hablar de personas en situación económica precaria, pero esta pobreza material no nos debe ocultar otras pobrezas en nuestro pueblo, como la soledad en determinados sectores sociales, la ignorancia, el endurecimiento de las condiciones de trabajo para muchos trabajadores, le escasez de puestos de trabajo en el pueblo para nuestros jóvenes, la inseguridad laboral...
También CÁRITAS tiene una carencia, la de los jóvenes, porque no todo es dinero, sino que además se necesita valentía y creatividad.
CÁRITAS no trabaja aislada en el pueblo, sino que mantiene buenas relaciones de colaboración en determinados servicios conla COMARCA DEL ALTOGALLEGO, y últimamente con la CRUZ ROJA Asamblea Comarcal ALTO GALLEGO, en el empeño de prestar un mejor servicio a los vecinos que lo necesitan y optimizar los limitados recursos de que disponemos. Asimismo hemos recibido aportaciones de las CARITAS de SALLENT DE GALLEGO, BIESCAS y JACA.
El próximo día diecinueve de diciembre se realizará en Sabiñánigo la tradicional CUESTACION DE NAVIDAD. Unas voluntarias de CÁRITAS, con acreditación, pasarán por vuestros hogares a lo largo del día para que aquel que desee hacer un donativo lo pueda entregar. En el año 2011 se recogieron en esta Cuestación de Navidad 9.315 euros.
Y para finalizar esta MEMORIA 2012 manifestar expresamente el agradecimiento de CÁRITAS a todas las personas que han colaborado con nosotros, bien sea económicamente o bien con su tiempo y trabajo. Todos son prueba de la cultura de la solidaridad que existe en Sabiñánigo, para los católicos expresión de que es posible repartir un Amor que hemos recibido. Recordamos las palabras de San Agustín que mencionamos al principio: " Los tiempos somos nosotros, cuales seamos nosotros así serán los tiempos".
