HOMILÍA
Un año más, los creyentes de esta tierra nuestra somos invitados a celebrar a María bajo ese título entrañable de Virgen del Pilar. Ella, que supo decir sí al proyecto de salvación que venía con Jesús. Ella, que estuvo al lado de su hijo desde la cuna hasta la cruz, se hace más cercana a nosotros cuando le dirigimos nuestra plegaria alzando nuestros ojos hacia su imagen encima de una columna. A su lado reflexionamos sobre nuestra Iglesia, sobre nuestras parroquias, sobre nuestra vida de cristianos. Ella acompañó a la primera comunidad cristiana ya sin la presencia visible de Jesús y nos acompaña hoy a nosotros. Tiempos difíciles unos y otros, es verdad. Pero, con ella, es posible superar desánimos y desencantos y vivir con fortaleza nuestra fe, con seguridad nuestra esperanza y con constancia nuestro amor.
Pongamos en sus manos de madre la catequesis de los pequeños que se preparan para hacer la primera comunión y la de los jóvenes que recibirán la confirmación, a sus padres y a los catequistas que les ayudarán a descubrir a Jesús. También esas clases de Teología que acaban de comenzar y que nos pueden ayudar a conocer mejor nuestra fe. Pongamos en su corazón de madre a los enfermos de nuestras parroquias, a todos los que sufren por los motivos que sean, a los que se encuentran solos y abandonados. No nos olvidemos de hablarle de tantos alejados de la fe y de la Iglesia que necesitan que ella los lleve de nuevo a los brazos de Dios y para siempre.
Ella bendice, sin duda esos pequeños proyectos que se hacen realidad en nuestras parroquias como los grupos de oración o el movimiento vida ascendente que reúne a personas de la tercera edad deseosas de dar lo mejor de sí mismas a la Iglesia y ala sociedad. Bendice también a los que, a través de Caritas, ayudan a sus hermanos más necesitados, aquí en nuestro país o en cualquier lugar del mundo; a los que comparten su tiempo y su dinero; a los que prestan su voz para solemnizar las celebraciones o su esfuerzo para que este lugar en el que nos encontramos esté siempre limpio.
Ella está a nuestro lado, animándonos a ser creativos para llevar el mensaje de Jesús a todos los ambientes, para ser luz y sal en medio del mundo, para ser fermento y levadura. Podemos contar con ella siempre, sí. Pero ella ¿puede contar con nosotros? Todos deberíamos ser capaces de decirle: “Madre, aquí estoy. Cuenta conmigo para lo que quieras. Toma mí tiempo, mi dinero, mis conocimientos, mi realidad, mi persona y haz que se pongan al servicio del evangelio, al servicio de tu hijo Jesús y de su obra de salvación.” ¡Ojala que este día nos dé fuerzas a todos para asumir un mayor compromiso!
